@siegpasta
@siegpasta 5 жыл бұрын
But dude... being homeless just because you dont have a job is REALLY rare in the western world. USA or western-northern Europe. There are so many things that help you get a temporary home and to make you able to get food for the day and make you survive cold winter nights and enough of things for you to maybe get a job and eventually buy a cheap apartment. A normal person here should realistically only be able to be homeless for a couple of months, maybe a year at the worst. The reason there still exists homeless people and ALWAYS will, no matter what change happens, is because of addictions. Drugs, alcohol or even GAMBLING. Pick your poison. These people will never get out of it no matter the ammount of help they get because what got them homeless in the first place was not bad luck, it was their bad mentality. An rare case was the last guy who were homeless since 14! Dude, you have to realise how fucking rare that is and suprise suprise he reveals to us he's got Schizofrenia after a while of talking. When he said he had that, everything made sense to me. There is no way in hell a normal person would run away from home because of "freedom" and staying homeless until the age of 29. No, that's not how the world works here in the west when you have no sort of prior problems such as a mental health disorder or some addiction problems.

Hey brother! now I know why I kept scrolling down the comments, as I'm reading your comment. Praise the Lord for getting you outta that situation, but even more so for saving your soul. I feel convicted right now. More followers of Jesus should pray for the homeless and also go out and help them physically. Keep abiding in Christ and whenever you get discouraged, remember that you have assurance of everlasting life in the present of a Holy God that loves you

Many homeless have drug and alcohol problems, and are emotionally stunted from childhood neglect and abuse. They're the ones who survived the abortion culture, and aren't currently incarcerated. It's a spiritual war for souls and this world is going dark when Christ's followers leave very soon.

Great eye opener Andrew. Thanks for filming on a sensitive topic. I've always felt that the vast majority of homeless people are a result of horrible home situations or mental illness or sadly both. Something that a soup kitchen or shelter can't fix. I do feel for these people. A food gift card is actually a really great thing to give. Many people (myself included) struggle with giving cash because of the thought that the cash would be used to score drugs, and just promote a possible drug addiction. Thanks again for sharing Andrew. Been subscribed for over 5 years now. You are one of the good guys out there!

Hey Andrew! This is a good thing. Something good can come from this. Keeping it real! You display dignity to homeless and offering them a Voice. And maybe they can get help if more people understand.and have more compassion. Seems there’s unlimited amount of stories to tell. Keep up the good work!

I met a homeless man in San Clemente who was a lot like Austin. I spent over 2 hours talking with him (mainly listening). It meant the world to that man that day to have someone to talk to and listen to them without judgment or condemnation. People pay good money for that. I'm glad to see that there are others in the world who would be willing to take the time out of their abundantly blessed day to connect with the less fortunate.

Thank you for this. This is like the first time I’ve seen people on camera filming the homeless in a way that I think brought them happiness and respect as well as taught the rest of us about the reality of it all. My dad’s got delusional disorder/ schizophrenia and me and my little brother recently have been experiencing symptoms. When I say that makes it hard to go to work or do what’s best for you I mean it, and so I’m so happy to see you approaching this situation in a way where a homeless person could be honest and in a way that shows you’re there to listen and understand and help. I really appreciate you making this video!!!!!

I've been homeless due to drug addiction [in recovery now] and my heart goes out to anyone living on the streets. Once you get in that situation it's almost impossible to get out of it, especially with mental illness. When you lose everything you have it's so hard to build your life back up. I hope those guys enjoyed their McDonalds and can eventually somehow help themselves or find help to get them off the streets at least. Thanks for sharing! You probably made their night easier just by talking to them and giving them an easy way to get food.
