We are clearly cut from the same cloth. Faking enthusiasm and emotion is just not possible (And I'm an engineer as well 😬). Good luck dealing with the current family issues, but I already know you'll be alright. Thanks for demo'ing the PT palette. Your look is beautiful. And unlike the new over-promoted ND palette... this WILL work for everyone. ❤

Thank you for speaking on your loss. I felt like I was weird when my father died because I didn’t know how to react. My parents got divorced when I was 6 and I remember wanting my mom to leave him, even at that age. I had no relationship with him whatsoever, having seen him last when I was 11. When he died when I was 41, people around me expected me to have some sort of a reaction or dramatic response, but I just felt sorry myself as a kid for missing out on a relationship that others had but I never did. Now five years later I forget that he died, or that he lived, because he was not a part of my life and talking about him is like talking about a stranger with no personal attachment.

Tina, I’m sorry for the loss of what you deserved to have. I applaud your efforts to move forward regardless. I’m for sure wanting this palette, but I don’t like that after it sold out on Patrick’s website that it instantly became a Sephora exclusive. So I’m guessing that’s until after the Sephora sale??? Idk. I don’t wanna wait and then it sells out, so I’ll just use your link and get it since I’m only VIB.

Tina, so sorry to hear about your father. That eye look is a great neutral to wear to your fathers' services. For whatever reason your dad missed out on your life, but that didn't stop you from achieving any goal you set. I love the YSL lipsticks (and dior). Yep, and got the Jp's glosses, too. Hospice will give Morphine and Adavan until they go for pain and anxiety. If that isn't help chemically to pass idk. I've seen it for 32 years and work with them side by side. As soon as they start the meds its over soon. It's the family that calls it normally. The person dying, it's as easy as falling asleep. Family can be hard to deal with. Sometimes they just want it over and done. It hurts them more to watch and burden to wait. They ask us to increase the meds on their loved one Offen.

First, you look beautiful. That's a great eye look and I'm definitely interested in that all matte pallette, though I'm hoping someday he'll do one that's a little more colorful. Second, I get where you're coming from as my relationship with my own father is pretty similar and I've always imagined I'd have a similar reaction as you did. However, after listening to you, I have a feeling that I will be struck with an overwhelming sadness when he succumbs to his illness. My parents separated when I was 7, so I do know him as a father even if I don't remember it. There's part of me that is sad for both of us that we were not afforded the opportunity to cultivate a real friendship with our fathers but that's just the way life worked out. So third, I'll just send some love to your family as you navigate this chapter. 🇯🇲

Perhaps a headband with some spikes? As for losing your Dad…when mine died, we hadn’t had a relationship for decades. It took years of therapy to let my stress go, so it was not very emotional. I don’t know if there was a funeral? He was not a good parent, but lucked out with my Mom, who was the best. It’s totally okay to feel any way that makes sense to you. I’m hoping those closest to him gain some comfort in the coming months.💙💙💙

You have my condolences. Our fathers are the same age. The silent generation. He sounds like my dad. I’m the oldest at 53. I have a brother 51. Then I have a brother who is 43 and a sister who is 14. He and my mom divorced when I was 2. I barely knew him for a long time. He also ignored the 51 year old brother. The 43 year old he raised and the 14 year old he’s currently raising with his wife. I didn’t get to know him until I had kids and he decided he wanted to know his grandkids. Then my sister came along. Anyway now I’m living in their guest house helping with my sister because my kids are grown and thriving. I’m not sure how his death will affect me but it will be different because he’s more like an uncle than a dad. Even now we barely hang out. My sister however visits almost every day.

I can totally relate to all of this. I don’t believe in keeping people alive artificially. I’ve performed CPR on elderly people (I’m a nurse) who really should have been a DNR. Chest compressions are brutal and to do that to a frail person is just wrong. I also get your reaction to your fathers passing. I would like to offer my condolences by the way. But I get it. My relationship with my biological father is very similar to yours except he was never married to my mother. Honestly, if I were to get news of his death right now, I’d probably go back to doing whatever I was doing before the call. I don’t hate him, he’s actually a really cool dude. but the connection just isn’t there because he wasn’t there. It is what it is.
