Tina, this was such a fantastic cohesive review. It felt like you were taking us on a journey because not only did you talk about the products but you also provided insight and history on Mario himself. I think that aspect is so important because many people are not aware of the background of beauty brands (one of the reasons I love Behind the Beauty). Although I understand his intent and purpose for this brand and I applaud him for success, I'm going to pass on this line. I agree with everything you said about the price point. I just think it is a bit high for the amount of product and package presentation. Thank you Tina for always keeping it real on your channel. You are truly special. XOXO

I also love a clear glossy balm for my face. But compared to Danessa Myricks Dew Wet Balm, Mario is way overpriced. Danessa offers over twice the amount of product for the same price in multiple undertones❣️

I would’ve considered buying the Mario matte palette. However, I own the Viseart Warm Mattes and the Viseart Milieu palettes so I can’t justify buying it.

Hi Tina, this video was amazing in the level of work and detail you put into it! I truly believe no one does this like you do, and you even include added touches like his bio, inspiration, etc... Your channel should be much larger than it is. I would subscribe a hundred times if I could! hahaha Honestly, I wasn't interested in picking up anything from this line until watching your video. The shadows appear to perform beautifully, but definitely agree that they are overpriced. I may pick up one or two items during the upcoming Sephora sale, but I already have some things that would be higher on my wish list. btw - Are you planning on picking up anything? ...or perhaps doing a video of your suggested items? Not gonna lie, I bought the metallic and metals palette but I'm on the fence about keeping them. My main issue--does anyone else think that the colors in both the metallic and metals palettes look dated?

This collection is a skip for me. The only intriguing item to me was the metal shadow/liner palette thingy which I might have bought if it came with the mixing medium. I think I'll just use my old MAC metal pigments (I have all of those). Those guys are gorgeous and after almost 15 years i still barely put a dent in them. I will keep an eye out for what Mario will release next though. I listened to a podcast where they interviewed him and he really came across as a great guy.

If i was looking to buy makeup I would get the metals palette. Sure it's pricey but it's unique and I just saw Jen's review where she mixed some and it looks so cool. I may pick it up closer to the holdays. That matte palette looks so nice but I wish there was something on the front to tell the difference between the shimmers. I like the idea of a builable formula so much better than an ABH shadow for example.

Thorough review. I just don’t think there is anything innovative here. The metals palette is basically a pressed metal pigments. Using the mehron liquid with a powder metallic pigment would give you a similar result to the Mario palette 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hey Tina so Kim K actually first started working with Scott Barnes and then Mario. The iconic viral behind the scenes contouring pic is by Scott but for some reason it gets associated with Mario. Scott Barnes made sure to mention it in a tutorial of one of his palettes with Tati. I was surprised. It is clear that Scott does not like the misunderstanding and my theory is that Kim does not clarify and gives Scott the credit for a certain reason.
