I’ve figured it out Nikki, you start your liquid eyeliner at your highest point of the wing first. I used to do this too. 1. Keep your eyes open, and look straight ahead 2. Draw the line outwards from the edge of your eye in a straight line. 3. When you’ve got to the end of the wing. Now join the end of the wing to the top of your eye. As you did in the video. 4. Colour in and go back and thicken up if needed. If you need to wipe any drop down go in with a cotton bud. Just rotate the cotton bud as you’re wiping it away so it doesn’t smear. Hope this helps xx

Nikki you look great with the high pony! I don't know if this helps but I have a mono to hooded lid (you have hooded lids) so when I apply liner I have to tilt my head back and look down slightly while keeping my eye open. Also if you're scared of using a q-tip dipped in makeup remover to get rid of the flakeys you can take the end of a spooley and lightly graze over the flakes, this won't removed your makeup but get rid of them! xo

Loving your look lately Nikki! For your eyeliner, it's way easier if you don't stretch your eye. Look down into a mirror and keep your eye open while you do the liner, if that makes sense. Then you can tell how it's gonna look when your eyes are open . Love you!

I’ve found doing eye liner slightly thinner until the end and extending the wing out a bit further is really flattering on the eyes and opens them up a bit! Draw the line on the eyelid and then the bottom line of the wing before joining them up xxx

some (maybe) helpful tips: -if you get mascara on your skin wait it out until it dries..get a cotton swab and brush off the dried flakes of mascara -use tape for your eyeliner..take a small piece of white tape and make sure its not too tacky..align the tape along your desired eyeliner look -if tape seems too difficult, look down when you do your liner and do not pull the skin around your eyes (causes wrinkles), don't crinkle your eyes just relax -start more thin with liner, then build slowly :) Hope this helps!!

You kinda have slightly hooded eyelids like me, my best tip (and I still haven’t perfected it) but def. draw your wing outline with your eyes open so you see where it will fall once the crease covers it. But your eye shape is gorgeous, don’t get too caught up with celeb looks~ ♥️🌸

Nikki, your super beautiful! You have a thick eyelid which is beautiful. Try making the liner thinner because less is MORE. Try extending the “wing” of the liner to get that cat eye look. When the liner is thick on your eyes, it kinda “closes” your eyes. But, overall you did great! You should do a video where you film yourself following someone else’s makeup tutorial lol.

I use a q-tip to get little mascara dots off my face or any smudged eye liner - also my absolute favourite thing to get waterproof mascara off my face is coconut oil! I use coconut oil and then wipe if off, followed by a thorough face wash routine and my skin has never been softer :)

I found the best way to get A: a great wing, and B: matching wings, is by taking an eyeliner brush and dipping the length of it into brown shadow then "stamping" the side as a template on each eye where the wing would fall. Then if the placement looks good, go over it with actual liquid liner at that point. Works every time!

I am a certified make up artist and I can help you girl! First the eyeliner, you are doing right, you just need to lightly extend the wing once eyes are open. So close. You’re doing great!! Next mascara flakes are best removed with a dry Q-tip. The double ended white cotton swabs if you don’t refer to them as Q-tips. Keep up the good work sista! The best way to take off those little spots from mascara is to take a clean spoolie and gently brush the spot! Make sure you wait until it’s dry, it comes off a lot easier and cleaner that way 🥰

When I do winged eyeliner I keep my eye open but don't pull it and I start from the middle and work my way out. When I get to the end I use the curve of my eyelash as a reference and i mimic it and it always works out

Beautiful before and after! Liquid liner application takes skill lol. I think that your eyes are perfect without the eye liner because you have really thick and long lashes, so you don't really need liner! I struggled with the same problem so now I just skip the liner and pack on the mascara and it suits me much better. Have a great week!

Hey Nikki, I always apply my winged eyeliner looking straight ahead rather than closing the eyes. I always draw the bottom line of the wing first so you can see where the wing will run then start drawing the part that goes along your lash line starting thin so that you can build it up. I think the main thing that is making is harder to control the shape of the wing is doing is with your eye closed. Try it out it may work for you and if not I'm sure there's lots of other tips in the comments 😊

Lol blow drying the face, have never seen that trick yet 🤣❤️ I use a fluffy brush to sweep away any fall out after doing my eyes and for stubborn mascara flecks I use the spooly brush that comes with eyebrow pencils to gently buff it off, works like a charm!

When I apply my eyeliner I draw the wing with my eye open, so then you will see how it will actually look throughout the day. Try to draw a line from the outer corner of your eye toward the end of your brow (as long as you want it to be,) and then do the liner on your lid and connect it to the line you already made, making kind of a triangle which is just the outline of the wing and then you can fill it in. This was so hard to explain without showing you haha but I hope maybe it makes sense? idk? You're beautiful either way, girl ! xoxo

It would help if you start the wing at the very tip of the outer corner of your eye. It may also help to almost start right under where you think it starts and if its too low you can just do under eyeliner to "fix" it.

Use a cotton swab to take off any mascara once it’s dried down. Also. I HIGHLY recommend Clinique eye and lip makeup remover on a cotton swab to take off any eye makeup at the end of the day. It’ll take anything off in seconds! My pillow cases have thanked me

I have hooded eyelids my self so i never do winged liner because I find that no matter how thin i make the line, it takes up my whole eye lid lmao. There's videos on youtube how to do winged liner for hooded eyelids though. Another note, what i like to do for my eye shadow is (i have blue eyes) so I put down orange/dark red eye shadow in my crease then go over it with a dark brown. because I want my crease to "sink in" and I put an off white or sometimes a highlighter or something with shimmer on my eye lid to bring it forward. I think copper colors would look good with your eyes too, purples and greens look good with brown eyes also! xx

I know a lot of people said this but mascara goes away SO easy when you let it dry and then just sweep it away with a Q-Tip! Also I had that too faced better than sex mascara and I loved it BUT when you first buy it there’s so much product that it’s just crazy messy and clumpy and awful. I wiped a lot of product off the brush (bit of a waste I know, but I had too otherwise I couldn’t have used it) and now it’s great! It’s worth persevering because it is a really good mascara. I found it very thickening and lengthening and maybe if you have a lot of lashes it might just be too thickening for you? I’m not sure but good luck with it if you do decide to keep going with it 😁❤️
