i cant seem to get the 512 to work on my pc. the pc link is not turning on. the dfi hub works with the obey 70 controller. i followed all the steps and it should be working. is there anyway you guys could do a tutorial to fix this problem. this thing is basically a 300$ paperweight

Hello chauvet I have two chauvet flex pros and will have 2 beamz s2500 and looking at you're hazers in another two weeks I'm looking for a high quality laser with a mix of any three colours do you have recommendations for around £250 also would this work great also have a derby but Gunna upgrade to one of yours and will need a strobe light for medium to large venues please let me know asap

I am curious and have a few questions regarding the interface between this piece of hardware and software. To explain, my band uses backing tracks with a click via a tablet. We are wondering if there is a way to program the lights via ShowXpress to line up with the audio backing track. Ideally we would like to run our entire show from a tablet or laptop We don't have a light technician. So we are hoping to be able to pre program everything to use live in conjunction with the audio backing tracks. Thanks for your help!

Yes you can do that. There is a feature called 'timeline' in which you can import a song or backing track and place in lighting cues to trigger at the point of the song you want.

Would you need a separate computer to run show express or can you use your existing computer which u run Serato on already

I recommend using 2 computers, but it all depends on how powerful your computers are.

You would not need two separate computers. Show Xpress and Serato are capable of running both off of one machine. This may not always be practical; all depends on your style and the event/gig you're producing.

Nice feedback; we think the main reason to use 2 computers is to avoid switching between the two programs on one monitor screen.

Does show express 512 has the intimidator 140 sr profile in it?

Any new express 512 boxes sold after a new product is released should already have the profile added to it. Is it only for chauvet products? or can I use my usb to dmx cable?

ShowXpress will work with any DMX lighting fixture, however you cannot use third party hardware.
