I feel like a lot of people forget that the royal guard aren't just tourist attractions like they're real soldiers who have served and were chosen for that role of protecting the queen and the royal family. t's actually pretty damn difficult to become one as well so these guys are the real shit

not just that, they’re the among the best soldiers in the country. and interfering with them is a huge problem cause then you’re interfering with the royal families safety - if they don’t yell at you, they will lose their jobs

Plus each one of them takes MASSIVE pride in what they are doing. There is always a massive queue of soldiers wanting to be chosen to even go through the selection process. People (especially tourists) forget that unlike many other militaries around the world, the UK military (ALL branches) doesn't pledge allegiance to the country, government or even to a flag. They pledge SOLE allegiance to the Crown. And they absolutely 100% mean it when they make that pledge and will stand by it no matter what. So yeah, messing with the Royal Guard, or ANY of our military members really, is a REALLY bad idea. Not to mention it doesn't matter what a Royal Guard does to you, not only will they likely not suffer any negative consequences for it, but YOU'LL actually get all the blame instead. Even if they SHOT YOU it would be YOUR fault not theirs - cos clearly you did SOMETHING to warrant a response of that level and so deserved it.

Oh yeah, and also as a point of note - the horses are actually considered a Soldier of the Royal Guard, on equal standing as the soldiers themselves. Just like how a police dog is considered as a police officer in their own right, with all the legal protections attached (so if you kill a K9 you can be charged with the murder of a police officer). So don't even mess with a Royal Guard's horse, nevermind the soldier!

My uncle used to have a Dalmatian that would also eat any embers that flew out of the fire whenever we were camping. He would continue eating the embers even after it got to the point where he was coughing because his mouth got so dry. We assumed it was because Dalmatians have been bred as fire dogs for so long that they have a genetic disposition to try and stop fires.

Can't confirm the arm being blown off if you put it out the window from a black perspective, but I can confirm it from a hispanic perspective. Was fully told growing up that a car/sign/whatever would just appear and I'd have the arm lopped off. Also extended to the head, tho that one was that either something would hit it and you'd get decapitated or that you'd accidentally push the button to bring the window up and not notice and get decapitated. Fun stuff :D
