He has struggled with drinking for sometime now and he's only 24.He came home telling me about hearing this song on his way home from work, and was ready to stop to get beer but instead he said this song came on and spoke volumes to him! I to was in them same shoes and god only knows they have to want to make the decision to change there life around. Mama you should be so proud of where he has come now and who is going to be. A singers life can be rocky as well on the road away from family all the time so this could be a true testament of his strength. Lets all pray his music keeps him on the right path and on a straight and narrow road as he flows to a wonderful singing career. I for one look forward to hearing a cd come out because i cant stop listening to his songs on you tube. I could continually listen to them over and over. I cant ever remember Idol having a winner that left such an impact on me with there singing. I seriously love music and there’s just something about his raspy grit voice and the style of songs he sings that just sticks in your head. He can sing anything and make it his song because of his voice and his style.

Oh no that was obviously a misunderstanding. Grace is the sweetest and most humble human being out there. The song her and Willie sang was about loss. When they finished the song you can see how hurt she was, which had me thinking of her father. She was too focused on the song and probably related to it. She did in fact turn to Willie but the camera didn’t show it. Also, she makes sure to chat and reply to every message she receives which is something not many people do nowadays. If you follow her on Instagram you’d know that from her live-streams.

I just got shown this song today. I turned 24 this month and before hand I had a bad drinking problem since I was 13, almost died multiple times and tried to kill myself with the liquor. Just recently month ago I decided to go fully clean on everything cold turkey. Just woke up and processed a lot of shit in my head and talked to God, asking "what do I do?" So I poured out all the alcohol in the house, even my stuff for cigarettes and weed. Just have it all up. Now I drink NA and I don't get tempted for anything, I can even go into a bar and not be tempted. I feel no stress, no hatred, I feel free and relaxed mind/body. I gave up all the vices and it's the best decision of my life. Especially after this song I know that there is a reason for me to be on this earth. And now I know my mom was right too, I will be someone one day. Thankyou for the song "Chayce" you helped me fully understand my existence and helped me see there was a better reason to be sober for the rest of my life. Whoever is dealing with similar problems, you will make it and be better for it. Hold your heads high "KINGS AND QUEENS"

I'm just now discovering this dude that won American Idol when I didn't even watch the show. This guys sound reminds me of like...Kurt Cobain meets Chris Stapleton, with a little bit of Kid Rock sprinkled on top! I can see why he won, just from seeing a couple of videos, because as I said, i didn't watch the show. Those 2 girls in the top 4 Casey, and Grace, were also phenomenal and knocked my socks off! I did also see Alyssa Wray's audition early on, and she blew me away as well! They had a lot of great talent this season... I should've watched the show entirely! It's too bad all these awesome singers had to all be in the same season though! I'll bet it was a tough vote decision for people this season with all that incredible talent! If each of these other contenders could've each been in different seasons they all could've won a season individually!

Such an underrated gem. My brothers classic song. I never really cared for this song, we were driving in the car and he put this song on again, I couldnt be bothered to change it. I started to focus in on the song, and i realised this song is such a gem. The mood of the song perfectly acompanies the lyrics and has that classic western asthetic I have grown to love. Shame it's not popular, but that kinda makes it even more special.
