It's not the aircraft vacating the runways that create the issue, it's the lack of planning for the taxiing. You almost never use the "hold short of" command, so aircraft are going nose to nose or creating conflicts. It happens in other videos as well.

You can set the parallel approaches to 500ft, that allows the 28 simultaneous approaches that SFO is famous for.

SFO is my favourite in the game. I use both 28L and 28R for landings, 1L and 1R for narrows and 28L for heavies/supers taking off. As some others jave commented the hold short command is needed when you only have 2 taxi ways to get to and from all runways. Another good video though, love the snood!

I started plating this from watching you and good god I give you credit. Lax I always get to the last 2 min and have a plane taxi into another. Which fails the whole career 😂. I want to try multiplayer so bad but, have no one to do it with lol.

Purchased the game, Nyerges mods, airports and learned how the commands work thanks to your channel, and I’m loving it. I would like to progress in due course when I’m more confident to Vatsim. I don’t know where to start and I know it will be a lot more complicated with real humans and simulation. Any chance you could do some Vatsim ATC tower or ground videos please? I’m sure others would like them too.

Found your channel recently and have been enjoying the Tower! Sim & GT4 content! Quick question though, since I'm new to the game, do the aircraft/airline databases & schedules for each airport come with the game or are they mods/custom content that you have to add on to the game?

@@WhereAmI0850 The real-world airlines and schedules are from Nyerges Designs - you can buy their World Color and Traffic Bundle through FeelThere or Nyerges themselves. Best to have the FeelThere Portal app to manage it all, too.

I really hate to bring this to your attention... When two aircraft are converging it is the controller's responsibility to ensure they don't. Don't assume pilots will be friendly and let the other plane go out of friendliness, and there is no "right of way" rule in the ground-controlled zones. Pilots are used to being told to "give way" or "hold short at taxiway charlie (for traffic) if converging. So if they hear nothing... they assume they are to follow the last instructions. Planes are big, and vision is not the greatest. Having two airplanes together at an intersection is a pain; by the time they figure out the other plane isn't stopping, they may be too close to continue. They may not trust they have the wing space to go into the intersection with a plane off to their left or right. So you now have 2 planes at an intersection refusing to move without spotters. Also, keep in mind that aircraft on intersecting taxiways may be on a different ground frequency; and this will happen as well when an airplane leaves a runway. Pilots do not switch to the ground until their airplane is completely beyond the runway lines and fully on the taxiway. By then, they could be infringing on the parallel taxiway. This is why many marked "Hot Spots" on charts are an intersection next to a runway.
