You should look into BeatCL9 velocity stack intake he’s making for 90$ installed it, and bro I’m TELLING YOU your cars gonna FEEL better mid to high rpm range, pair it up with the air ducts he makes and he has graphs to show proof he’s making a better difference in air temps you’ll love your car even more

You can probably get a brass barbed threaded fitting, and a tap and tap out the intake

You should remove the fake air vent on the bumper to allow more cold air in. I think the filter is high enough that you don't really have to worry about water.

The intake wasn’t the issue, I had did the headers plus the intake and without a tune on it I was loosing mpg other than that it ran just fine with no issues. I would recommend doing a tune on it for it to actually make a difference

I just installed a dc sports caí yesterday and my mpg is suffering terribly and my bay is overheating like crazy. You got any thoughts of what could be happening

I know sometimes the medal gets a lot hotter and starts messing with the air temp sensor what makes the mpg start messing up. I would try to wrap the intake tube wirh the heat wrap and see if it gets better.

Yeah man, you need air flow, open up the grill by taking out some of the excess plastic, get some fresh air flowing into the engine bay, should make a big difference. And no exhaust wrap on your intake, don't know if it's going to make that much of a difference but that's definitely going to keep the heat in. Plastic pipes also work better than metal because they disperse the heat better, metal gets hot and stays hot(although metal pipes usually sound a little better)

@@DR-UTAH it will be fine my guy i recommend making your own custom cai by removing the lower air box that is behind your front bumper this will reduce the possibilities of it getting too hot in the engine bay you also can direct the air flow through the fog light holes (mines a 04 so it just a empty cutout) straight up into the tube to increase airflow your ecm will adjust in a week or so to the new air inputs same with headers but if you have a 06-08 its easier to tune the ecu
