⚠️Top tip from me re getting wheels off seized rusty hubs........... Loosen all the wheel bolts just 2 turns each. Then lower the car to the ground. You'll hear a thud from each wheel as the weight of the car frees them off for you 👍 No need to use a big hammer and risk damaging the alloys. For really seized on wheels you can drive the car 20 metres and this is guaranteed to break the static bond between hub and wheel. I've used this technique for decades. Works every time ✅

Yes but two turns is too much. Just a quarter turn is enough

nice to see a garage keen on putting things back correctly, unlike my now EX garage that managed to lose my under trays, alternator cover and didn't even replace the injector crush washers after testing and one was totally missing giving me a diesel injector knock, damaging the injector. ended up fitting a full set thanks to those clowns.

@@sprautos been using them for donkeys years, unfortunately the guy that used to do the work has moved to a different branch, now i'm down almost 5k they will soon be getting the bill. only went in for a crank no start starter relay code. after three weeks of guessing they told me it needs a new engine. i took it home and after a couple of hours i got it running and then found major oil leak from them removing the timing cover and refitting it damaged, no gears as the linkage was damaged due to moving my van on and off the ramp with only one engine mount, the list goes on. now i have done all the work and the so called dead engine is running like a dream.

If the bleed niple doesn’t open it is still possible to bleed that wheel position using the old method of total loss fluid system. I don’t see the point of scraping a caliper if there’s an other method you can use.

Believe it or not mb no longer sell blue coolant, if a coolant change is required and it has blue they flush it out and convert it to red.

Shocking someone would fit the wrong track rod end. Unbelievable that someone was allowed to work on this expensive high performance car that either didn't have a clue or didn't care enough to get it right.

Was that Ate SL6 brake fluid going in? I (wrongly) ran Ate Typ200 in my C207 chassis, listening to everyone everywhere but did change it yearly & never had problems. Now I'm on genuine fluid as BeVo sheet supports nothing else & instantly noticed diminished performance. BeVo sheet lists Typ 200 ok for Unimogs w/ a yearly service interval which is why I flushed yearly. I understand SL6 is meant for passenger cars, street driven only & good for ABS/ESP systems.

question.....why not take the fan out to do any work on the front of the engine??? 6 bolts and a few clips and its out and in your hands in about 3min and with it out of the way you have enough room to almost stand in front of the engine. I daily my C63 since new and with 335k mi now i can assure you that i have been over every bolt under the hood a few times each....but do love the channel and the content Guys.....subscribed from Georgia , US

Typical Mercedes gaskets that are metal. They all fail. They use these are all areas. Watch out for the head gasket to go. Water pump was probably still good and can usually go 200k before the bearing goes. Those tensioners aren't a good design either

Just wondering if all these problems are a result of some bell end and his mate bodging this up in a car park or a poor garage messing everything up and then leaving it to someone else to sort out.
