I watched a bunch of videos to figure out what grow light to get, but this one was the most helpful. Thanks :DD

I bogarted a wire shelving unit from my kitchen for my seed starting and gutted part of my craft room which was the only safe spot in my cabin to pull it off. Then I put this cheapie Big Lots greenhouse rack (sans cover since it basically rotted the first season, meh, you get what you pay for right?) That was for the seeds that germinated and then needed light. More cheap chicken lamps outfitted with Great Value grow lights clamped to the shelves. Only problems I really had was HEAT and LIGHT. That room, being closed during winters death throes, and only one window facing west, was not ideal. But necessity is the mother of invention, or macgyvering. SPACE BLANKETS!! I wrapped the wire rack in a space blanket to retain heat from the seedling mats. Then I covered the Big Lots rack to reflect both the plant light and sunlight that made it thru the window. On really cold nights I used an oil heater with a thermostat and timer to keep it comfy.
