alot of those cheaper stuff was chinese knockoffs... the 53 dollar rod/reel combo looks like a abu garcia black max reel with even cheaper parts on it.... its normally 50 bucks at ur local department store here in the usa and i know its a knockoff cuz the import price would be much higher in singapore.... not a good reel will end up breaking after one or 2 times being used... usually with baitcasters the drag should make a clicking sound when u tension/loosing it up.. if it doesnt click its a cheap piece of crap basically not even worth the money... interesting lil tackle shop tho..
