Also there is a huge learning curve to flying a glidecam correctly. It took me 6+ months of use to get good shots.
@byBC8 жыл бұрын
You setup the glidecam completely incorrectly, which is part of the reason for the horrible footage. The weights are in front and behind the camera, and it should have been mounted rotated 90 degrees to the left.
@pawemarczuk84028 жыл бұрын
Exactly... that makes your camera spin. As you show on the video the time instead 2-3sec is around 1sec that will make shots not smooth at all

I thought the same thing when I bought mine which is exactly like the one in this video but according to the manual, the weights are supposed to be 90degrees to the side unlike the steady cam which are in front.

A steady cam will last you years longer than a gimbal, and with practice and (proper) balancing you can get just as good as shots as a gimbal...
@4eyesnb7 жыл бұрын
always keep a manual steadicam for backup it's cheap and easy to pack, and you never know when the electronic gimbal fails on job.

No, I am currently looking for a replacement. The gimbal is great with the kit lens, but doesnt work well with heavier lenses, unfortunately.

Hey how is the gimbal, for the price, looks amazingg, how many hours of use with one battery? Do you have a few batts on shoots? Is it 'portable' easy to transport in some box? delicate? Can I operate one handed like the crane, beholder...? I imagine I can't flip it and use it like those..? cheers
@ostensiblyyours63117 жыл бұрын
I wanna ask, you said in the video that the drop time should be 2-3 seconds but it was less than one. Did you change it off screen or just recorded like that? I'm trying to make a decision so I'm asking

I have an A7s with a sony Fe 24 F2 Lens does it work ?
@Hinaioo7 жыл бұрын
The gimbal as far as I know has a weight limit of 600g and the a7s by itself exceeds that limit so it won't be possible. However I advise the zhiyun crane, which can hold up to 1500g, and with the firmware update it can hold 2200g!

I see the Iflight g40's weight range is between 300g - 600g. Would it work with a Lumix g7 and kit lens (The total weight of the camera with the lens is 540g) or is there anything similar around the same price range that you would recommend? Thanks.

the limit for this gimball is 600g, so you guys do your math with your camera and lenses, and hell yeah this is a budget gimbal, compared to paying 600-700 for one that hold bit more weight and 1200+ for the well known brand DJI

up to what size camera can the gimbal hold?
@ArthurR8 жыл бұрын
It's designed for Sony NEX5/7, RX-100, BMPCC, etc. It will only work well with a small mirrorless camera. It's perfect for the A6000/A6300.

I think it would work, but the 18-35 is a heavy lens, so just to be safe i would recommend a larger gimbal.
