I can't get over some of the comments people make.. I mean, If you do not like the house, property, or certain things about it, Then don't buy it! Just move along to something you like.. And just so all of you know, Brad didn't build this house, nor does he have anything to do with decorating the houses, he's just doing a video on them. And those star shapes, mean different things to different people.. And Brad happens to by far! My favorite real estate videographer.. Keep up the great work Brad.. Someone who lives there might be a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, or a Freemason. The upside down star has been used to represent many things, the Greeks used it to represent the 5 known planets at the time. Christianity IS NOT the final word on what a symbol represents as many symbols existed long before Christianity did.

I'd make that a year round B&B or vacation house, rent it out to families at great rates so they have enough time to enjoy the property. I'd build my own purely rustic cabin up on the hill. I don't want to live with electric. I'd also build a early American style forge for blacksmithing tools. That would be deeply satisfying to me.

Hi gerard haubert, Good question! How we do it is we lease the farmland to a local farmer, who does all the liming and fertilizer, then he either grows hay or grazes cattle. We get paid AND he pays for the treatments. And he doesn't need to buy land - he just rents it. Win-win. My Dad was from Knott County. He was Born in the late 30's. I lived down their for a short time. Currently in Northern Kentucky,but South East Kentucky holds a place in me for some reason. As for the place in this video, if I was Rich enough I would have me a place like this Probably. I suspect most people feel that way. As for the location, you have Probably found that out by now,but just in case he mentioned that it was really close to Barea.

Mez T - it is! Think about it - Walmart and McDonalds owns property all over the world. The easiest way for foreign nationals (which you would be) to own property here is to put it in a trust or company (like most people do) and own the trust. An Attorney here can help you do that. They would do the paperwork at the closing - not complicated or expensive. It is the financing that you have to provide. Or marry a natural born American - that's another way. The trust might be cheaper. :-D seriously though, you foreign nationals can own property - it is done every day all over the world. We have a whole list of Attorneys who can help you.

I So Love this House! I just Love all the Wood! And I saw where someone said; all the wood just eats up the lighting like a sponge! I wish I could be that sponge! Just taking in The Beauty of the soft lighting in this Geirgious home! It would be like my little piece of Heaven here on God's Good Earth! I am Praying to God for some amazing miracle to one day happen for me and my children! I was purposefully separated from them for 20 years! And purposefully made disabled to! I can't stand the city life anymore! I haven't seen the sun, let alone been outside for the past 3 years! I can only Dream of living in a home like this; where I could have my children stay over for holiday's! I haven't had a Holiday with my own Children for over 25 years now!!! Oh Please God! Please! Guys, Love the property. The land is outstandingly beautiful. The house is thoughtfully laid out and the interior is something to dream about. Obviously this was supposed to be someone's forever home. Where do you all find all these properties? One jokingly offered comment: anyone who knows what a "lick" is must certainly know Appalachian is correctly pronounced App ah LACH chin - like a LACH on a door.
