Jay, the reason you don't see more than 120Hz on the monitor is because the card is set at 1920x1080P in the Ultra HD category. Scroll down to PC Resolution, and select the 1080P there. This will allow you to go 144Hz
@owenchief3 жыл бұрын
Jayz - the nvidia contorl panel if you scroll down on the left where it shows you resolutions under (Ultra HD, HD SD) if you scroll down past those options you then get a sub header called "PC" with more resolutions (native plus all the other standard options) and you can set all those settings to what the monitor/pc will report. I agree its best to ignore the Ultra HD,HD.SD option. But it means you can still use the nvidia control panel and make it easier for yourself Can i get an upvote so maybe he sees this?

Just picked one up myself and I have to say I'm impressed. I was worried I'd regret not saving for the 1440p model, but honestly at this size I don't think ir matters a lot. Having the better refresh rate is fantastic, while I bought it for games its also way easier to read text on a word processor or browser which I wouldn't have expected. I had a dell 3007 wfp (30 inch) in 2006, and people used to come around and oooh and ahhh at it like it was a national monument lol (it was also 2560 x 1600 ooooh). It was so good at the time, but would be so much garbage now. Ironically I have just dropped back from a 40 inch to a 38 inch ultra-wide. Getting to think we have hit the sweet spot for single monitor size.

when my 27“ display (1080p) broke, I used our second TV which was a 49“ Sony 4K as a emergency replacement. Luckily my graphics card (1080ti) could handle the resolution. It took me about a week to get used to it - but man, I never ever will go back. I ended up buying a LG 48“ Oled which is G-sync and 120HZ capable which my old Monitor wasn‘t and I absolutly love it.

@atrias1443 жыл бұрын
@@isaacpowell4401 Suggestions are definitely helpful. Although I've been researching the topic for months and I've probably read at least 30 articles across every subject of building a pc and current parts, I still lack the experience of actually doing it. This is the first time in my life I have some money to spend on it. I'm not the enthusiast type (as much as I'd love a custom water-cooled and overclocked monster rig), just want a computer that runs games in 1440p at max settings and capable of workstation tasks like 3D design programs and video editing without issues I can't reasonably overcome. I'm aiming for an upper level amd 5000 series cpu, 32gb ram, 3070 or 3080 gpu (considering amd alternatives but it seems like a gamble with their software), and a motherboard that will age well and leave options open for overclocking. Seems fairly achievable but it's hard to say without asking a pro directly.

I bought half a year ago a 24" Dell 2410H 1080p display 60Hz, with VGA and DVI-D inputs. It did cost me DOP 4000 say $70 including 18% sales tax. The model is from 2010 and is adjustable in height and all other directions. I use it with a Ryzen 3 2200G on a $60 Asrock B450 HDV Rel 4.0 motherboard with VGA; DVI-D and HDMI plugs. I use it with my old VGA cable. The Dell replaced my 22" Fujitsu/Siemens LW22 display 1050p display with only VGA input from 2008. I had the impression, it had better quality colors, but after 12 years it developed a large area with white dead pixels say 12" by 2", so I only use it now occasionally for my headless servers or for repair of computers from e.g family.
