It is popular to have the island cabinets a different color. I just left Tempe in April. I was a 3 month snowbird staying in Villagio apartments. I paid 2,100 for a 1 bedroom, 1 bath furnished apartment. I think 2,500 a month is a great price, especially if you have a family.

The houses are nice, but the outside environment is a big turnoff. My sister lived in Chandler . The bland outdoor colors, everything looking very very similar. No trees or colorful flowers , it so hot , nobody’s on the street, have to stay inside with air on at all times. I guess the rent is cheap, looks like those houses are sitting in the dessert and starving for water.

I love Arizona, born and raised here. You are right about these next few months being the hard time to be here, it is so hot out there. Have to get up at 5am to do gardening, I like the older homes, We got our home in what was a nice area when we first moved here, built in the 1950's, a huge diving pool with blue tile around the pool (need to do an update though) from the 70's, no HOA, and mature trees. Unfortunately since the lite rail came in the whole area has gotten bad. There are pockets of nice, but you have to be careful with the increase of crime. It's sad that the Opioid crises hurt so many and I blame alot on that. Counting the days down until October, such an Arizonian thing to do. Stay cool and safe out there, drink lots of water and definitely wear a hat and glasses. You have a beautiful family that needs you in their lives, so please be careful out there in this heat.

Hello looking to move from chicago to Tempe any advice would be lovely!!
@cbzzzzzzzzzzz1167 Жыл бұрын
@@bambam6231973 Tempe has grown and it's really nice now with shops everywhere and a river for all kinds of outdoor activities for the whole family. I like older homes as you don't have to deal with HOA's. Some people like that sameness though but I always worry that the kids who inherit the homes will be left with huge HOA rules and fees and they won't be able to be home owners like their parents were, so sad for the future. Also careful with what they call Smart homes...lots of problems could arise with technology that falls apart or even locks you out of your own home. Some people forget to think about these issues that may arise in the future. May seem nice now but think about the big picture of things. Lots of nice older homes to choose from with strong bones that were made to last.

@@cbzzzzzzzzzzz1167 omg thanks for the advice...I would.not want a computerized home lol would.remind me.of a hotel...what area are the older homes in you would recommend
@cbzzzzzzzzzzz1167 Жыл бұрын
@@bambam6231973 I like up close to South Mountain. A lot of people don't like the South Mountain area as some say it is the bad area but there are some pockets of older homes up close to the mountain that I think are really nice and you get the mountain view. I used to live there as a child and now they have built a lot of newer homes there but to me it is still a pretty area with the desert. Then there are some older homes around the university area but they might be really pricey. Sometimes you can get fixer uppers and as long as you don't mind doing some home repairs you can get better deals that way but there is work involved. My cousin used to live in one of the neighborhoods around the Kiwainis park(Sp. incorrect I think) which are homes from the 80's I believe. She had a pool too. In Arizona lots of homes come with pools. That's the Tempe area. Phoenix is huge. Big Super does a great job at sharing the whole city and what it's like. Just keep up on his updates and maybe he will do a Tempe area vlog. The last vlog I watched he said he got his license to sale. Some people in Phoenix can be stand offish and not so friendly as it is a big city but once you get settled in and start meeting your neighbors everyone turns out nice in the end. Just have to work at that too, be the one to say hello and eventually your neighbors will warm up.

Mr. Big Super Living in Arizona, Excellent home tour as always.. Good price especially for New Construction! It's nothing like being the first person to live in new construction. When I moved here, the apartment I lived in was new construction; so, I was the first to live there. I built the house I live in; so, I was the first to live in it. People were required to remove their shoes even though I have plenty of tile in high traffic areas. Only drawback of driving through new construction is that car tires tend to get nails in them. Stay hydrated & safe! Thanks for the great content!
