First off, like the soda machine in your shop. Good job of showing a simple design that is easy to build. Have several sets with a 48" long 2x4 on top. I keep 3 each 2x10s 10 ft. long to put on top of the set of saw horses. Lengthwise cut of a sheet of plywood with out a piece falling. Also keep several 2x2s 48" long to put on top of planks for cross cutting a sheet of plywood and not hitting (cutting) the planks. Use it to hold my DeWalt miter saw, cutting up plywood, assembly, painting and scaffolding. Found that the vinyl post sleeves are 4" and just right for when using my miter saw.

I built 2 of these last weekend. I put a 15 degree bevel on the tops and bottoms of the legs though.

Thanks for sharing. Just built a pair of saw horses from watching your video. Slight alteration was using 2 x 6’s for the legs (the only lumber I had). They turned out great - perfect for putting my sailboat on, and strong, too 👍🏼

Great video. Thanks for sharing. I built a set this afternoon to use as a door painting jig. One simple step to increase stability and weight bearing capability is to add a 1x2 or 1x4 horizontal cross member on the outside of the legs about half way down to make an "A" frame. That will keep the legs from splaying. Make them long to start with and after they're screwed on, mark the overhand, take them back off, cut off the overhand and reinstall to have them flush with the legs. Super strong.

I'm going to make some of these. I like the simplicity, everything is square cuts. Looks like you could make one of these on the fly in 20 minutes. I keep buying those folding sheet metal horses for storage that are compact and light, then I overload them and wreck them. Considering my sawhorse history I better gusst the ends. Great video!

Well presented video, no waste of our time, and the only thing I would add are 1x4 (X) cross braces on both sides for max. stability since I've had a couple of horses pull up lame and collapse when working with heavier loads - so now for safety I use three instead of two, (much safer). Thanks for sharing from a new subscriber, hope to see some other ideas in the future.

Okay I made a set of these. They do go together fairly quick ,but the main complaint I have is you probably have to play around with screw sizes and placement to control splitting. Also- they are okay for light duty but if you're going tho put a lot of weight on them you might want to add some horizontal bracing between the legs close to the bottom.

I think I'll put some adjustable feet on mine, like the little rubber padded screws you find on the bottom of ovens or refrigerators to level them. That will help them stay balanced on uneven surfaces
