There are endless ways to build saw horses and ponies but sometimes super simple is all that's needed. For the timber framing I needed a quick and cheap solution to be able to lay up my frames outside so an addition to the herd was in need!

Tim. I have been gearing up with input from a number of your excellent videos, thank you, first to build my 6 x 4 timber frame workshop with a slate roof over the winter and now looking to build a garden gazebo to cover the barbecue with oak frame. The oak was delivered today with some other timber and I suddenly realised that my feeble saw horses would collapse under the 500kg weight of two 6x6 5m lengths. Fortunately they delivered some 4x2 at the same time and I was able to knock up these saw horses in just 10 minutes. Was like a scene from the A team. Really couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you. My main sources of information are your channel, Robin Clevett and Rag’n’bone Brown in the U.K. so nice to have local issues discussed and relevant although of course the US channels can be very inspirational too! Keep up the good work. Another keen amateur.

I really like the design .. going to the box store this morning to pick up my 2x4's and build me a couple. You're smart to get the kids involved at the age you are ... after raising 4, I can guarantee you will be glad you did. Your a good Dad! Cheers, dave

If the legs were cut out of a long piece with the mitre saw, all at 15 degrees (or whatever the maths/trial says), not only would the foot of the leg sit nicely on the ground, but the top of the leg would sit nicely parallel under the top element of the 'I' beam.

I was thinking about building a platform for when I need to plaster a ceiling. A few of these and some 18mm ply secured in some way would work really well. At the end I would have these useful sawhorses that are easy to store.

I need a few and was going to follow Robin Clevett's guide but yours is somewhat easier/quicker and will do for me. I feel exactly the same about my Evolution mitre saw - which of the Bosch options are you considering? The GCM 350-254 is on my wish list (can't really justify the GCM 18V-305).
@TheRestorationCouple

Not sure the model, it’s the glide one so it can sit against the back wall, so much wasted space and too deep of a workspace needed for the evolution standard bar design.
