Like all your content man, keep on at it! Just bought some attenuators & Hantek leads from your link. Found your channel from someone else's video reviewing different scopes using a Chevy Silverado scoping various sensors on the vehicle. If possible, and if your able to, could you review using the Hantek Ignition Capacitive Auto Pickup/Probe (HT25)? Thanks!

Hi, good video that one. Thanks for the support using the links 👍 I do have the secondary ignition probe, just not got round to the video yet. I will try and do it before the end of the year. Thanks for watching!

Hey Darren thanks for all the great content. I'm finding it really useful as I start my oscilloscope journey. Can you update the link for the back probing pins as it didn't work for me. I've found the old set I have just don't fit the leads.

I bought some of these too for the Pico Automotive scope. I wasn't sure what they were going to be like, but for the money they're absolutely fine in my opinion. My only negative up to yet is they're not colour coded as you pointed out, but some electrical tape soon sorts this out. 👍🏻

Silly question but what is the difference between the cheap hantek cables that come with aligator clips and these? I notice that the HT30A have a heavier gauge for the red probe vs the cheap alligator. When testing CAN bus do you need these cables or can you use the cheaper ones? Great video.
@MechanicMindset3 жыл бұрын
Hi, you can use either leads. I use the HT30A cables in this video. Cheers!

Great video, My leads are on order. Is it possible to read the CAN buses from the OBD2 connector? My BMW ISTA program tells me I have a CAN bus problem, but little hint on how to diagnose. Keep up the great work!!
@MechanicMindset4 жыл бұрын
Stephane Chabot Great, hope they work out for you! Depends what model it is. I would say since 2005, only the diagnostic CAN is found at the OBD. Best place to reach all is the Gateway/FRM or directly at the module. Thanks for watching!

Thank you very much... such video helps people on budget to better decide what to buy from Pico and What from Hantek... I am considering buying 2204 and Pico amp clamps and the accessories from China... what do you think about attenuators? ... I planned from Pico for peace of mind but not decided yet

Thanks for reviewing hantek accessories, from your experience Darren, do you prefer using 2204a scope with picoscope 6 software or automotive software, which one is better capability with 2204a for automotive diagnostic? Thanks
@MechanicMindset4 жыл бұрын
Hussam Alshafaey You’re welcome! I just use normal Pico 6; they are exactly the same when connected to 2204A. There are some slight differences. Pico 6 has a spectrum analyser for frequencies and automotive doesn’t. But not really using that feature. The only real benefit of automotive is having the custom probes set up if you have them. But you can always import them anyway. The reference waveforms and test descriptions are helpful; but only if it is the same as the car you are working on. You have to buy 4425 for the real benefits 👍
@hussamalshafaey39934 жыл бұрын
@@MechanicMindset I appreciate your response, I'm practicing on picoscope 6 and will order 2204a without accessories, and get hantek accessories to complete my set, thanks again for your videos ❤

Great video! Are these the exact leads that come with the autel maxiscope mp408? The autel comes with hantek accessories. I just want to make sure there actually the same ones before I throw them away because I just watched @Jarhead Diagnostics kzbin.info/www/bejne/l5ndaomsfMStfJo video and talked about how shitty the leads were and that they picked up alot of noise... I don't have other leads to compare so your input would be appreciated. Thanks again.
@MechanicMindset3 жыл бұрын
Hi, I’m not sure if they are the same, but I have had no issues. I also have a Pico lead, it’s the same. Even check out my video where I make my own DIY scope lead with airbag twisted pair cable, it’s still the same. It would have been good to see an example of the static. If you take a measurement in a high noise area like around coils, no lead will block that interference out. Hope that helps!
Oh I see. I'm almost thinking he just got a bad batch or wiring in the lead housing was getting loose. Thank for the help I'm going to buy one off Amazon and compare. Keep up the good work 👍
