When you keep the display pannel of your camcorder open it becomes slightly left heavy, you would need a corresponding counter weight, but thanks for the efforts taken

that's why there are these +++ to mount the camera on. You can mount the camera slightly right on the shoe to compensate for that

One issue that I can see right away is that you don't have the proper weight on the stabilizer. The weights on the bottom are too heavy. You need to be able to tip the camera and it should return to center slowly in 2-3 seconds. The way you have ti set up, it would just flop around wildly if you tipped it. Try removing a weight. Hello.. I'm trying to stabilize an action cam and mount it on my bicycle handlebar. can you tell me if the hand grip (where the actual pivot point is) can be shortened or do they sell short hand grips..? my handlebar mount (sony) has a 1/4"-20 thread stud, does the hand grip have a 1/4 hole on the bottom to receive the 1/4 bolt..?

other than the fact that you gave unfair comparison by walking steady and careful with stabilizer and not without, this is plain wack. WHY? because it wobbles... if you do any fast turn the camera will wobble up and down left and right, who needs that? not to mention you dont really have control over the camera... without stabilize you use your hands to aim, with the stabilizer you use your body to aim EXAMPLE: going around the tree.

i had this thing and it truly sucked. Yes you can get some better shots if you really really try your best. moving just slightly too hard and the camera will get completely out of position. Also the rotating/smoothing mechanism used on the handle is not designed for the purpose at all, it is actually designed to mount a camera directly onto it and you can rotate it and lock it into position, it is not ment smooth and that is noticeable
@TheFandangovideoguy8 жыл бұрын
thanks guys! wereyou able to reduce the wobble even more after some practice? I'm considering getting this ROXANT PRO to use with a very light camera- the Sony RX100 iv which is only 300grams. I don't want to spend too much money but I don't want to waste it either! What's your opinion after using it for a few weeks? thanks

@2stepmediaofficial6 жыл бұрын
i dont know why they are making it look easy , iv had mine for 3 days and im still setting it up , also the stabiliser is crap , it makes the video stable BUT it wont stop rotating your camera left with right , so if you go in a straight line the mount makes your camera rotate , useless

@MrToddsCorner3 жыл бұрын
Conclusion - you have little idea of what your doing and how to review. As many have pointed out, the test was skewed because of the difference in the type of walk that was used. Jumping around on the non-stabilized (and for that matter, not holding the camera as designed but instead having it in the stabilizer and holding the camera screwy) and then walking slow and soft was if there were eggs under your feet for the stabilized walk. Right from the start of balancing the camera you failed because the counter weight was too much. This creates a pendulum effect which can be seen when you move your hand.

I'm no expert with steadycams; shit I don't even own one🤣 One thing I do know, though. I could have made a much better review than this. Sorry guys, and thanks for trying but, it was pants. I don't know what you both do for a living, but I bet it isn't anything to do with photography, of any kind. First off: you need a dedicated mic, not the one attached to your camera. Secondly: your editing didn't excised. Thirdly: If you were trying to get people to buy this steadycam, I think, in the mainstream, sadly, you failed. You should have taken more time with the setting up of your equipment, as to even someone as inexperienced as I am, you could see it wasn't set up correctly. Cheers
