I recently bought my first pair of inline skates at a garage sale for $2. Since I'm 65 yrs old, I decided that I should buy some pads, so I found a set of elbow, knee and wrist pads on ebay that came with another pair of skates almost identical to my skates, and I won the auction for $1 + $16 shipping. I bought a helmet at the local resale thrift store for $1 and ordered some padded shorts for $25. The skates are Bladerunner Advantage and Bladerunner Advantage Pro XT. Wish me luck.

What differences have you noticed when comparing IGOR and 2017 model FR1?
@raoufsakhria4536 жыл бұрын
عندك بزاف صبابط الروض
@TiagoInlineSkater6 жыл бұрын
The igors are a LOT more stiff than the FR1. the carbon cuff on the iGoRs defenitely feel a lot different! it is also a lot more close to the feet, enabling a much better fit ( The fit in the FR1 is great, but the igors take it to another level! ) and improved precision ;) these skates being made with carbon fibre, I feel every little rock on the ground, compared to the FR1 that smoothens the ride a little bit! Confort is better with the FR1 tho :) but I prefer their previous liner: my feet tend to move a little bit inside of their new liner; it's annoying ^^"...plus the carying "strap" on the top of their new liner is more fragile compared to their previous one; I broke 1 in a few weeks. ^^"
@gregorywandersaround61786 жыл бұрын

Good comparisons. Thank you. I am investigating using inline skates to supplement my ice skating skills. I need front brake to simulate a toe pic. Ice skating is more dance than street skating. Ice skates are rocketed.. Crossovers, transitions, spins, jumps are all required. I personally have tried mid priced inline skates by Zeno and just like your video says the foot is moving to much in the boot. The Snow Whitr 3 wheel in-line seems to be most popular during pandemic shutdown. How about comparison between street bed figure skating replication?

Thanks for your advice and thank you for all your videos!! Sandy / South Florida USA

Hi! hum interesting question! In general, I don't do anything outside of inline skating ( although I'm thinking on starting Cycling to improve my performances) Inline skating requires almost all your muscles ( in order to keep balance, move, do tricks ect) àd in the beginning , your body will be sore! legs, back, abs... ! so go easy in the begining! in general when i give lessons to beginners, I recomment to skate for 1-2hours first. during this session, you'll be familiarising with your skates, figure out how to ballance etc... this part is important! take your time! I like to emphasise on the feeling of things; "if I place my feet like that, how does it feel? does it work? " :)

Hey. So I want help with something. I have the firefly ILS 100 M In-line skates. I am good with ice skating and can do a bit with inline skates but my real problem is that in rough surfaces, simple as roads, my rollers become very unstable and the ride is the opposite od smooth and fun. Since I don't know much about modding and rollers in general, I guess that the frame on my rollers is too big and the gap between the wheels makes it feel like I ride in gravel. Is that the case? Please give me some context on my issue I would much appreciate it. Also I believe the Firefly model I have can't be modified, and I bought it without knowing much.

Apex Wit The Bally Hi! Okay! I get you! unfortunately it's difficult to say that X skate is the BEST! in general, freestyle inline skates are all excellent! ( in general ) they are lighter, and very responsibe! so if you put big wheels on them, speed guaranteed! so the lightest carbon fibre skates I know ,( to this day) are the Powerslide Tau. thanks to it's molded/compressed carbon ( same technique as Formula 1's carbon) it's very stiff, responsive and light! it comes with 3x90mm wheels, but you can upgrade it with 3x110 or 3x125mm wheels for more speed! This is quite discouraging though. If you are passionate about your hobby it would make more sense for you to try make it accessible rather than be so negative about it. You make it seem like if we don’t spend a fortune on skates (to many people 500-700 is a fortune, to me that’s 1-1.2 times my rent) then we better not bother trying. There are many categories in between that would have been more realistic to compare to the “cheap” ones. Most people who can afford €50 skates, would be able to save up for €100 or €150 skates. But to jump to €700 .. nah bro. You’re just showing off and mocking those who don’t have much to spend. Standing there “so scared to fall” as if you haven’t fallen a billion times practicing this sport. Perhaps try get into hockey or tennis - in-line skating was never an elite sport for snobs who look down on poor people.
