I prefer the orange. In fact all of my recovery gear is brightly colored. I even painted my shovel florescent orange. I'ts real easy to leave equipment behind, laying on the ground, after a lengthy or stressful recovery . Especially if it black or earth toned.

Agreed. Even for hunting I'm buying knives and other stuff with orange handles, etc. My old eyes easily miss stuff .

7:10 he was about to say “there’s no way a tyre is gonna wear down a steel bolt, if anything, the tyre would be worn down by the bolt” but he stopped himself, because he’s selling traction pads. i like the idea of bolts, i just think we could be making the whole pads out of steel instead of plastic. make them permanently indestructible instead of built to be replaced, so sick of planned obsolescence.

Whatever happened to cutting some strips of chain link fence for traction material? It works great in sand, mud, and ice/snow. It got me out of some pretty tight spots. It's best when you have a pickup truck bed to store it due to its length. The width collapses to a small roll.

Yes, or some big Teks screws but then cut the ends off once you screw them in.

You won't snap the max trax. Ronny Dahl does a torture test on them and they don't even show signs of wear.

Those things are great this was back in 2010 I have about 5 acre backyard and I live in Maryland my older brother half brother but older brother came down from West Virginia to visit and I told him I said if you drive in the back part of the yard stay in the driveway Area and I told him back there where he was parked and I said don’t go off the driveway I said the ground stays wet especially it snowed a couple weeks ago and it takes a while for that to dry he got his car stuck did not listen Lol set my twin brother we had some plywood in the garage summer if she eats somewhere smaller than that so I know he stuck a piece up under the area where you can jack the car up then he had a piece in front of the car and a piece that was kind of long right there behind the wheel so when he jack the car up he put the plywood under the wheels then let the jack down and then he got him out luckily he was right there when he did it because a lot of people will start spinning wheels and make it so much harder to get some one out I even got stuck one time my one in front of the SUV has all wheel drive and I had no clue because it hasn’t rained or snowed so I didn’t think that the ground was wet and all that did was try stay in the driveway for the most part but turn the truck around and I got stuck and I thought because I had all wheel drive I was ok lol not true I had to call AAA to get me out so I learn my lesson and one the weather changed I made the driveway wider

Amazon doesn't make the traction boards. Amazon is a marketplace where lots of different sellers offer their wares for sale (including Amazon). They don't "like to" make cheap stuff. They make cheap stuff for people who can't afford to spend $400 on a couple of plastic boards. Nothing wrong with either.

I just did this experiment a couple weeks ago with a buddy. The Maxtrax will nest nicely on top the Actiontrax, but not the other way around. So if you have a pair of each with the Maxtrax on top you're good.

If you have a rig that weighs less than 7,500 lbs, Maxtrax is the way to go. They have a lifetime warranty as long as you stay within that limit. If you have a vehicle that weighs more than 7,500 lbs, Actiontrax is the way to go. They have a 2 yr limited warranty and are made in the USA. Because of their flexibility, Actiontrax are less than optimal for digging.

I’ve been looking for any pictures or videos of actiontrax breaking or just exploding in pieces, haven’t seen any yet, I’ve seen all others just breaking on first or second use! Don’t quote me but I believe actiontrax will give you $500 if you can break their boards with its intended use. I’m going actiontrax!

Actiontrax are far less expensive than maxtrax. Actiontrax are made in the USA and used by the US Military. Actiontrax offers a lifetime, no weight limit warranty. Maxtrax has a 7500 pound warranty. When Maxtrax get into freezing temreratures, they freeze and break. I've seen plenty of broken maxtraks in Afghan. Never saw a broken Actiontrax board., not once.
