Almost all of the range difference is down to the tire and wheels. I got my 2024 Model 3 Performance to do 341 highway miles without charging by switching to extremely efficient 235/45/18 Hankook iON EVO AS tires. I believe they are even more efficient than the 18” factory tires Tesla uses. I could do about 360 miles if I ran it below 0% SOC. I honestly believe that if you put the ultra efficient Hankook iON EVO AS tires on the Highland RWD Model 3 you could get 400+ miles if you ran it to dead with a brand new battery. That is truly incredible.

You get used to the signal buttons super fast, it was a bit weird for me in the first 2-3 days, but after that you realize this makes more sense as you keep your hands always on the wheel, and it's even safer from that perspective. Anyway, cool video :)

$2500 off the price. Insane deal. What’s ironic is the cheapest Tesla has the most range. Range is more important to me than anything else when it comes to Tesla.

I totally agree about the stalk. I have the S3XY aftermarket stalk coming for my car this month. I just ordered the left side stalk because I don’t need the right side one for the drive modes. That works fine. The turn signal buttons are just terrible. I am using S3XY buttons behind the steering wheel until the S3XY stalk comes.

Bring the indicator stalks back! Honestly, I love the Highlander so much more over the refreshed Y, just because I'm tired of SUVs, but those indicator buttons on the steering wheel are just going to be annoying.

The primary purpose of a lease is to preserve cash. Don’t put any money down and lump all expenses into monthly payment. What does it cost monthly? Is lease 24 or 36 months?
@brandenflasch
@brandenflasch 9 күн бұрын
Leases can serve many purposes. Tesla's advertised rate is $249/month with $2999 down but you can put less down.

I like how they relocated the washer fluid fill. So when the top pops off it won't fall down into the fender.

What do you think is better, this or the model y long range Rwd?
@brandenflasch
@brandenflasch 9 күн бұрын
If Model 3 meets your needs, it's the better car for range and features, but the Model Y is a more practical car overall IMO.

@@brandenflasch it actually is bigger in the Model 3 Performance Highland at least. My old 2022 Model 3 Performance had the sub on the right rear of the trunk. The Highland has moved the rear speakers to the deck lid and now you get rear cubbies on both sides where the old car only had them on the left. Not a huge difference but I really like the side cubbies for storage of some items.

Im tired of Tesla and I think a lot of people feel the same way which is why prices are dropping. Tesla doesn't drop prices unless they have a demand issue which after just 1 year of this vehicle being out and they have a demand issue? This tells you something, Teslas are commodities now and are not exciting vehicles to drive anymore. 0-60 times have been played out and people don't use 0-60 take offs as much as anyone believes they will so once you get over that the car just becomes boring. These cars are everywhere and its just boring to drive the same vehicle everyone else has.

To some extent I agree, but they are still excellent vehicles and other EVs struggle to deliver the overall experience you can get in a Tesla

@@brandenflasch "excellent" might be overstating, id say they are "good" vehicles. Any vehicle that charges at 150KW or more and has access to the Tesla charging network will give the same experience and some will give a better experience as far as ride quality and comfort. My F150 lightning rides so nice it's like a cloud and the charging at Tesla superchargers is plenty fast. I gave my model 3 to my daughter because it is just a terrible ride quality. I cant wait for Audi to get super charger access because our E-tron drives like a dream, even more comfortable than my lightning.

@darinbrazil5496 have you driven a new 3? Ride is very good and the overall package is very good
@darinbrazil5496
@darinbrazil5496 9 күн бұрын
@@brandenflasch Yes, I would agree its good. I still would choose other vehicles over it. Honestly I view a Tesla 3/Y as a Honda civic or Accord at best which would put it in commuter car territory and not exciting to drive unless you are 16 to 25 years old. Once you get any older you just really want more in a driving experience and definitely a more comfortable ride.
