I mounted a set of Alpena Cycle Fire Motorcycle Auxiliary Driving Lights to my 2022 KLX300. The inboard bolts that secure my hand guards to the handlebar are used to affix the driving lights to the motorcycle. I made small "L" shaped mounting brackets for each light fixture. I ran a new fused feeder from the motorcycle's power distribution system to an LED illuminated toggle switch that I mounted on the handlebar. The driving lights get their power from this switch. I also ran a separate feeder to the handlebar to supply power to my GPS or cellphone. When the motorcycle falls, the driving lights are not impacted. The driving lights are at an elevation that is higher than the headlight. Don't know if this set up is illegal.

Tusk has a control panel that mounts to the handle bars, it has two toggle holes and a 12v hole.

T Rex makes an engine guard that I think would work well for mounting them.

I just watched your video on your klx300. Last year I went with the Honda CRF300L and love it. It seems many of your dislikes of the KLX are addressed properly with the Honda, especially the dash. Also the gearing. You mentioned upgrading from a CRF250. I understand there is no comparison between the CRF 250 and the 300. Also, if you want the larger fuel tank there is always the CRF300L Rally. Of course the Honda's price is cheaper than the KLX as well. Watching your video made me feel you would have been a lot happier wit h the Honda. I love mine

If we’re just talking about happiness, I was perfectly happy with my CRF250L. I always wanted the Kawasaki green so that’s why I bought it. My dislikes on the KLX would not prevent me from buying another over a CRF300L mainly due to that crappy suspension. They’re essentially the same bike with just some minor differences most notably the dash IMO. I’m glad you like yours though, I have nothing against the Honda! It’s a fantastic bike too.

Do you know how much those fogs like tax the electrical system? Looking at doing the exact same thing, however I’m afraid it may drain the battery on long-term use. Thanks

Technically no, I don’t recall and I’ve thrown out the documentation. I can’t imagine very much though since they’re LED. My battery never dies and it never sees a trickle. I wired mine to only come on with high beams too.
