@@pitikaron I'm interested in buying the same board to create a portable spot welding setup, not for commercial or industrial use. I plan on using 2x2s lipo batteries in parallel with a discharge rate of 80c, capacity of 5200mah. I already have a nice dual battery hobby grade charger for such batteries. Will 80c in parallel be sufficient? You used a higher voltage, and higher capacity; single battery. I intend on making the two new lipos (in the mail as we speak) into a matched pair, only ever to be charged or discharged as a whole, splicing the balance and power connectors together in parallel once I've charged them to storage voltage and let them sit for a couple days. Do you think this setup will work well with this board? I also have some small chipset heatsinks and thermal glue on hand that I plan on sticking onto the mosfets for slight passive cooling. I don't intend on welding together huge battery packs, but I wont pass up any bit of temp. dissipation I can get as longevity is ideal in my build.

80C×5200mah = 400A it is enough weld and kindly please dont exceed 900A your battery is 80C so you should also select the last capacity that the board offer 60C then try it at gear 1 but do not hit directly to the battery try it first not to the battery. Anyway what is the max voltage of your battery 80C 5200mah let me know the voltage please because according to the description the board can only work from 6.5V to 16V?

this spot welding provide 8 gears bos and used for building battery pack to weld nickel strip. if you are using 0.1mm up to 0.15mm nickel strip used only Gear 1 if 0.2mm Gear 3 or 4 if 0.3mm Gear 7 or 8. for safety do not try directly to the battery familiarise first every Gear.

actually I produce a video revew for every cheap spot WELDER and it work firmly as long as it would not exceed the amp limit to the mosfet. anyway not so often coz I only used when I needed like when I replaced new battery for power tools DIY battery pack, but I can guarantee it work firmly as long as current would not exceed the current limit to the mosfet. then increase the Traces Thickness to the spot WELDER circuits. thank for visiting my channel.

Hi, I have the same model of welder but the strips keep coming off the battery. I'm using a 12V 25Ah (CCA SLS 171; CCA SAE 342) lead acid battery. Eve on the highest power (8) the welds are very mild. I'm using 0.1*8 mm nickel strips. Please help. Ps the battery is reconditioned

If you spot welding work properly but cannot weld strongly means you need 500 to 800A pulse discharge rate capacity but do not exceed 1000A coz the MOSFET will explode. Up to 0.2mm nickel if you want 0.3mm you need 1500A or more but your spot welding is ideal only up to 1000A. Ah ok! anyway it is not necessary to buy flat bae copper! if you have 10-6 gauge stranded copper wire you can use it to increase the thickness of the input and output traces. yeah they the same size and one manufacturer.

If you have this board yeap you can use lead acid battery but you should identify the maximum pulse discharge current the maximum should not exceed 1000A but sometimes some MOSFET explode so it is better to use a battery that cannot exceed 500A. for me traces also are important. thin traces can not mannage large current and easy to heating up once large current flow. however amp must not exceed the current/amp limit to the mosfet so that mosfet won't blown up.
