You could probably get away with a 4/0 hook. I haven’t tried myself. Typically i use something smaller.

You can use a vacuum chamber to suck the bubbles out but i thinks that’s not needed in most situations. I rarely have bubbles in the actual bait.

Yeah small baits should be plenty cool in less than 10 min. I’ve never timed it for myself but 2-4 minutes should be good
