Humble Forestry didn't say a thing about his cooking skills. This man is a Chef/Connoisseur! If you weren't hungry you will be after watching him prepare a meal! With Rocko's help of course. At night, with his wood stove glowing, watching him prepare a meal you can positively smell, the cozyness, homeyness in that van is wonderful. Another thing that draws people in is how much he loves and cares for Rocko. Rare that Roco isn't with him on his back packing, camping, Mtn climbing to the summit trips. The videos (and yes sometimes scary) that he takes with fantastic drone shots are unbelievable! All the things Bob Wells said about Forestry/Simone are true. A stand above the rest channel!❤

I love Foresty Forest's channel because for one thing, he's a very decent human being. He respects the environment and he doesn't have that boisterous, over-the-top macho affectation that is so common among male overlanders. His adventures are engaging and beautifully filmed, and he has diverse interests that he brings to the channel, such as history, cooking, trail maintenance, even cabin building. He has mad skills with mechanics and electrical work so there are opportunities for us to learn. And he is really thoughtful and strategic about how much he's willing to invest in his builds. another thing I like is that he isn't always promoting equipment from sponsors. If he does give something a favorable review, it's genuine and based on his own experience with the product.

The real deal!! My favorite Van life/adventure channel ! He’s been my inspiration to travel minimally after my strokes. I don’t have a van, I do it in a Subaru Crosstrek at this point. But I do it! So true! We often see Foresty make the decision to call off a climbing or rafting adventure because the conditions just aren't right and the risk of injury is too high. That is so valuable for adventurers, especially beginners.

Forrest is the best. One of the coolest, down to earth people. I was a tiny bit concerned when he got Rocko, but she has Bern an amazing companion and hiking buddy for him. She is SO at home with Forrest on the road and hiking mountains, and Forrest cares for her so well. Been following Foresty for years. Love that you interviewed him. Foresty’s van setup is so uniquely suited to him. I have appreciated how thoughtfully he’s approached his build-out. Much trial and error and stellar engineering. I knew I was hooked when I realized I’d just watched him sew curtains on one of his episodes. His van is one of the most authentically crafted and lived-in on the Internet. His content is both sublimely breath-taking and sweetly homey.
