That is so cute. I know how to sew a ruffle like that but usually on one side only to be attached to a hemline of a skirt or dress. The criss-cross pattern of the staples makes an interesting design on the fabric, beautiful. I haven't tried this on junk journals yet. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you so much for sharing! IS ALWAYS GOOD TO WATCH YOUR VIDEOS. I like both methods but the one with the staples makes it different and that makes it special. I will try one with the staples. And I will also try hand stitching I think I’m kind of good at that.

I think - though I haven’t done this in a long time - you can also pull threads within the fabric itself in order to make it ruffle. It works better with a looser weave fabric. And you have to be careful not to completely pull the thread out.

I love the no sew options because I do not even have a sewing machine. I would probably glue some ribbon down the middle of the no sew one!!1

I prefer the look of sewing but another method would be to add a thin line of adhesive and ruffle the fabric before the adhesive sets.
