One thing i dislike about the game is the fact that turns can take forever which makes it a bit tedious for me x'D. I like the fast speed duel format in DL much more, hence why i am playing it. But again, MD is still a fun game overal and I might play it again someday!

Tyrant Dragon was my ace card during this era where it saved me countless times. It's forever my favorite card. Even though it's vastly outdated, glad when I crafted it on Master Duel, I crafted a royal rare.

Favorite set is... well, this one, Legacy of Darkness. Spirit Monsters were the first monsters (outside of the obligatory toons from the anime) that had their own unique gimmick that changed how you thought about playing (not a _good_ gimmick mind you, but an interesting one.) Smoke Grenade of the Thief was also introduced as a humble common that no one payed any mind to for over a *DECADE* before finally realizing newfound potential. Dark King of the Abyss' nemeses Dark Ruler Ha Des was introduced alongside other Fiend support. There were new cards for Dragons like Stamping Destruction, A Legendary Ocean for Waters, Warrior support like the ubiquitous RotA, Creature Swap which paired with Spirits, Heart of Clear Water for stall, powerful staples like Royal Oppression and Bottomless Trap Hole, etc. Plus, I got a good number of holos from the set, such as Tyrant Dragon, Airknight Parshath, *TWO* Injection Fairy Lilys, and it marked the first time I ever got both Secret Rares from the set with my 1st Edition Yata-Garasu, to go along with my Yamata Dragon, Asura Priest, and other Spirit monsters. (I really need to get that Yata graded one of these days...)

I dont know if its my favourite, but Strike of Neos has a special place in my heart. Not only it introduced me to Six Sams, but i also got a Grand Mole on my first pack and since then it has been a perma inclusion in all of my decks, much to my friends annoyance who btw said the card was bad when i pulled it. He was WRONG! Also i can't wait for the potential sh*tshow when they reach Cyberdark Impact...

I don't th ink it's SR worthy because it's a 1900 beatstick. Luster Dragon #1 (or is it #2) is a 1900 beatstick with 1600 defense, so it's even better than Gemini Ellf. It's an N rarity. Another example of rarity for old cards not measuring to their worth: Labyrinth Wall and Millenium Shileld are both 0 attack, 3000 defense 5-stars. I think they're both Eartth-type. Their only difference? The first is Rock, the second Warrior (i'm pretty sure). Labyrinth Wall is N rarity, Millenium Shield is SR. I didn't even know Millenium Shield was a card until I tried building a Rebecca deck for an old-school tourney. The rarity of old cards, I'm pretty sure, is more to do with how prevalent they were in the show, how memorable they were or how rare they were in reality (because I don't think Millenium Shield was that common of a card). That's why Luster Dragon is N and Gemini Elf is SR. Gemini Elf is just much more memorable than Luster Dragon #1 and #2. xD

Why is Seereax bashing the Masked Beast? Yeah, he sucks NOW because he doesn't have any effects, but during his heyday he was arguably the strongest card in the game. He was my Boss Monster until Dark Master Zorc came out a few years later in Dark Crisis. Zorc was weaker in attack strength but could potentially nuke the field BEFORE he attacked, so Masked Beast became obselete. (I know, I know, Masked Beast Des Guardius was also stronger, but the annoying condition of needing either Melchid the 4 Faced Beast or Grand Tiki Elder, two weak vanilla monsters, in order to summon him prevented him from being playable.)
