Thank you so much. I've watched SO many videos about troubleshooting the PE800 over the past 5 years and none of them mentioned sanding down any notches in the thread's path or to check that little hook thing in the top thread path. I have heard to check the bobbin case for needle strikes but I have a brand new bobbin case. So much time and frustration and I think I finally found the problem I've had for a year. In the bobbin area, I found 2 needle strikes on the hook base (right by the hook) - they were deep enough scratches that I could feel them and my finger nail was catching on them. Sanded them down with a very fine emery type file, plus sanded some other spots. Fourth try on step 1 and my machine hasn't sounded this smooth in years. It stitched perfectly. Thank you!

Right at 1:30 is what fixed it for me! It happened to be my "worst enemy"! I didn't have to use a nail file to sand anything down. Anyway, thank you for the video! I had been so discouraged...and I've used this machine for a couple years!!

Thank you so much! You save our time to move it to service. We have Innov-is V3 which is 1 month old, it was clean but this hook was stuck on top. I have moved it gently down and retread it. It start working again. Have a nice and creative embroidery.

I have rethreaded this machine so much and nothing works. I have the Brother Innovis 4000D and it doesn't look like yours when I took the side case off. I'm going to clean it and do the flossing as you suggested. I contacted Brother twice and they said take it to an authorized Brother repair shop. What it does is sew 20 stitches and I get this frustrating message 'check and rethread upper thread. " Last night I thought it was fixed, as it did 26,000 stitches with not one problem. This morning it was back to 20 stitches every 30 seconds and the same $%^& message. Thank you for your video. I hope the flossing pulls out a glob of thread, lol!

Thank you for watching! I hope the flossing helps too! That’s weird that it works and then doesn’t. Definitely check your machine for any notches that may be catching your thread too!

Hi I was wondering if you can help me I’ve been sewing some shirts and it started to suck the shirt into the bottom and I look and it’s a small tight ball of thread under the metal casing not sure what could be wrong it was working perfectly fine these past days of embroidery
@LionAroundSewing5 ай бұрын
I’ll try my best to help but this could be a few different things. The easy solution is check your stabilizer and make sure you have backing stabilizer. This is going to prevent the shirt from getting sucked into the bobbin casing. I would also do top tear away stabilizer if you can just to help. You can also check your bobbin casing. There is a little screw that you can tighten and loosen. It might need to be tightened because after several uses it can ware down. Make sure you are also using the right bobbin weight and random thread.

Somebody help, please! My brother M340ED started embroidering with the bobbin thread instead of the upper thread! what did i do????
@LionAroundSewing9 ай бұрын
I would first start by rethreading every thing. Make sure your upper thread isn’t getting caught anywhere. Make sure you are using bobbin thread and not a higher/lower weight like sewing thread. Turn your machine off and clean inside your machine too and replace the needle. If it’s still having problems you can tighten or loosen your bobbins case and that can help adjust how much bobbin it pull through but I recommend doing all the other steps first.

Now i cant get the side lid back on properly and atep 9 isnt working now
@LionAroundSewing6 ай бұрын
Oh no! Make sure you have your bobbin holder in the right direction and is in the whole way. Then make sure your screws are all the way in on the metal part.

@LionAroundSewing2 жыл бұрын
Yeah from what I’ve experienced that little hook is very important so you might need to look into getting it professionally looked at.

@@LionAroundSewing do you know what this is called? I’ve taken my machine apart and I can’t see where it goes? Would you be able to maybe send me a close up of this so I can see?

@@thesoutherncamellia7411 I can’t send pictures on here but I think it’s called thread guide wire? It should go close to where the green start button is, in side your machine.

Not a good idea to start filing your machine down. Go back to your supplier for advice or Brother!
@LionAroundSewing Жыл бұрын
Yes and sometimes we might not have the time or money to do that, so it’s nice to have a back up just incase!
