Hi guys. Why not put a string from gable end to gable end to center all the trusses. Than just tack on a piece of strapping to keep the trusses from falling over. You do great work. Have a good night.

Hello, getting the trusses perfectly centred is not a big deal. I can straighten the top when I install the 1" strapping...plus the metal ridge cap has a lot of adjustment to straighten the ridge line out. Cheers!

Cecil! I think you getting a little paranoid on your measurements.. Don't worry about a 1/4 inch you are working with rough cut lumber that isn't kiln dried.. It will be so straight only you and the pigeons will know..

I feared you would break the window glass when you kept setting the T square against it. Why don't you cut a square of wood larger than the opening that you would quickly screw down with a couple of screws diagonally to cover the opening and prevent falling through? It could be rapidly unscrewed when you want to climb down. I have to admire your skills. I never knew how trusses were made. Will you be putting up hurricane clips? I realize you don't get hurricanes but with it so far in the air, you may get a strong Winter storm.
