great tip to check the plates for warp, going to investigate my GS550 clutch as if the engine gets hot in traffic the clutch starts to drag.

Thanks for all the clutch videos Darth - I’m just rebuilding my S3 engine and it had an awful clutch when I bought it. Found 2 broken friction plates and 3 burnt-oil steels. Hopefully new frictions, springs and cleaned up steels will help. All your little tips like looking for the burrs on springs and steels might not be much themselves but when you add it all up it should make a noticeable difference in clutch action and performance. There’s only a select audience for your videos - but its an appreciative one !! Cheers man !!!

Is it true 500's have aluminium metal plates, also that they are thinner; therefore can be used to add an extra of each disc into an H2 basket ?
