I looked through the comments sorry to hear , RIP man I stumbled upon your channel, try to fix this 6.0 that's been worrying me to death with the same symptoms, it came in with failed injectors on 3 & 5 so I replace them then the miss went away for a few miles or so then she started acting up. And now I have a miss on 1 and 7 I plugged my bidirectional scan tool up (Zurich ZR pro) to check fuel pressure but it does even support that function which is stupid. But I truly believe that it's fuel pressure and your video has confirmed that Thanks Ron 👍

Same method as doing injectors. Drop the drivers side motor mount and lower it to give you more space for passenger side then before you reinstall the motor mount lift the drivers side as high as you can and you'll have a the same effect for that side. be cautious of the power steering return hose and PCV on the drivers valve cover upon lowering and of the ICP and turbo on raising.

My fuel pressure is about 38 at idle and drops to 10 wot. Already did blue spring kit. You think lift pump?

Pump is bad or filter is clogged, it should maintain a minimum of 45psi or higher at idle and wot. don’t run it for too long like that or you’ll be putting injectors in it. I’ve seen intermittent pump issues when they get old to where the engine would start missing and I would roll under the truck and tap the motor on the pump and it would change the idle.

@@jacobking6966 I figured it out my blue spring kit had a crushed o ring. Easy fix. After of coarse I replaced the lift pump.

Great video Ron. I have watched several of your video and they are extremely informative. I have two of these trucks, a 2006 F350 crew cab with a standard trans and a 2003 F350 extended cab dually with an auto trans. I bought them both at an auction last fall for a steal of a deal. My 06 is my daily driver and knock on wood no problems. My 03 now that's a different story. It's my project truck cause I have always wanted a dually. I am almost 50 and I was like a little kid when I won the bid on these trucks. From your advice, I got my Scan Gauge II last week and so far it's proving to be extremely useful, so thank you very much for the suggestion to get one. I live in northern Alberta, Canada, a little town called Spirit River. We make the middle of nowhere look like a big city, well not quite, but sometimes it can feel that way. Thank for all your great videos about the Ford 6.0 litre. I am a machinist and have always done my own mechanical work on all my vehicles, but these were a little intimidating at first. Thank you again for all your great videos and I will let you know how my 03 dually turns out. Ian Little

the 6.0l is an easy engine to work on if you pay attention and do your research on it. ALWAYS use a torque wrench

So let me just start with I watched many of your videos and you really seem like a very professional mechanic and know a lot about the 6.0 Powerstroke engine. So I figured the question I have should go to you, because I'm not saying accurate threads on it or videos.... so I'm reaching out to you I've got a new ficm, I've got the Blue Spring ,the truck runs amazing I put 5 inch exhaust on it... there's no issues with the way it runs starts or anyting ....even barks a 35" tire when it shifts to 2cnd gear....but I decided I wanted to put a fuel gauge and oil pressure gauge on it under the hood mechanical ,so I drilled and tapped aluminum caps for those..... ran steel braided lines to them... oil pressure I'm seeing around 80 psi.... but fuel pressure I'm seeing 95 PSI to 100 PSI. I'm reading some people saying that's way too high I'm going to blow O-rings but then I read other ones that say the injectors appreciate the more PSI I can give them..... so I'm trusting your opinion how do you feel on that and if it is too high where should I look? I've already taken the regulator off three or four times I'm sure the spring is seated correctly and I don't see any blockages anywhere. I also upgraded the banjo bolts to the new style bigger holes and no check valve.

Hey great video Ron. I have a question maybe you can give me advise. 2006 e350 6.0l had almost no power and wouldn't shift etc.. put a guage on the back of the passenger head. Pressure was down to 5psi at WOT. I found the fuel filters were the cause. Retested and pressure was holding around 42 psi. It runs stronger but still doesnt rev out like i think it should. BTW STC fitting was just done. Starts and runs good hot or cold. The van was driven this way for 5k miles or more. What would be the first sign I would see of injector failure or damage?

Hey Ron, Great vids. I have a question thats fuel related (I think). Its an 04 6.0 F350 and my exhaust smells really bad at an idle. This is at the rear of the truck near the end of the pipe, not in the cab or in the front unless its been idling for awhile and the exhaust is just polluting the whole place. I have no mods at all done to the truck. It has 136000 miles and had all maintenance done at the dealer since I have owned it. It runs good and has no loss of power that I am aware of. I can only compare it to a lean running gas engine, in that it makes you sick to your stomach to smell the truck idle. By the way I don't idle it much, 5 mins or so at the most unless its really cold. Thanks for any help.

Mine smells like butt also as do many other rigs of various makes. Don't know what causes it but I have pulled over to avoid following a similarly stinky truck .

Pepe Madrid the "blue spring" mod regulates the fuel pressure to 65 psi you do not want it to go below 40-45 psi otherwise you will kill your injectors

have same problem just got 2006 f350 and while hauling a camper I lost àll power could not get truck over 45 on Interstate finally got it home after it wouldn't start any more. I changed fuel filters and now I have a misfire on 3 and intermittent on 1. I did a buzz test and all clicked but still skipping. will do fuel pressure test. if has good oil pressures what do I look froward to?
