What an informative video. This guy is so cool I just love this to death. I’m a certified master tech for 44 years. What a nice clean video for the C 63 owners. Because your first pull is usually dry ,or low on cold engine.So this is an actual good video for the Mercedes-Benz car owner this type. His theory is correct you must check it several times.Always use a good synthetic oil specified by the manufacture

Just came across this video, yeah you made a very good video, I also have to do a few checks to get a correct as possible reading. I'm happy to see its not just my car but it's a thing as the oil often ends up just above the reading lines untill you've been having to do it a few times to get a correct reading

I love the video!!! I know it is a year old now but you’re very informative how I tend to be and I just bought my 09 amg c63 with 70k miles and I also own a 2011 wrx wide body hatch, a 2003 wrx and a 16 crosstrek so I’m from the Subaru community aswell but enough about myself keep up the great videos I just subbed and hit the bell 🔔 for ya I hope you keep putting out the great quality and informative videos

What might also help is removing the 1st rubber o ring from the the dip stick. Doing so will prevent air from being trapped in the dipstick tube for a more accurate read

Its better to be at maximum rather rhan halfway or minimum with the m156 because this engine suffers from oil starvation at the head very easily, burns oil, leaks oil from various sump seals all over the engine/trans (almost a signature trait), bed plates as well as rear meain seals very commonly leak. You're probably even safe overfilling it a bit because before you know it this motor will burn the excess off in no time. The worst thing for this car is low oil. As soon as you cold start it the head is really suffering and almost all of them have premature cam/ adjuster and lifter wear.

If the oil mark is at the second red mark, let’s said at the minimum. How much oil do I have to add? I have a c63 507

Typically between the min and full red marks = 1 quart

theres really no reason to wait when putting the dipstick in the tube, the important thing is wiping the dipstick for a couple of rounds so you get all the residual oil off the dipstick tube, which fills up due to pressure when your pouring oil in or the motor runs

Very good question, I did check the oil cold and it seems the level was slightly lower.

@@topshelfrareparts1690 I checked the WIS, and they recommend the engine come up to temperature (80+ C) before checking the oil level.
