One of the greatest things about Clutch is that they defy classification. I've been a fan since the 90s, when I was still in high school, and, no two of their albums sound the same. They're constantly evolving their sound.

One of the reasons they have stayed so great over the years is because as they matured, their music matured too, but the epic storytelling maintained its epicness.

You can’t define the Clutch sound but u know it when u hear it .I’m so jealous for people that get introduced to them for the first time. I thought it was a good choice of songs. I mean how do u pick just 2 if your gonna show them off? They change every record!

As good as any Clutch recording sounds they never compare to the live act. The comparison to a preacher and Neil Fallon is perfect. I have seen them 30+ times, never saw a bad show.

I am so glad he chose I Have The Body of John Wilkes Booth to play for you. It’s always been my favorite. Got to see them play it on the tour for this album and then when they played the full self titled years later. Well, that and about 10 other times seeing them.

You should do a reaction to Droid and animal farm. Both great songs and off of their self titled album. Great video though love seeing new people find the band🤘

I have absolutely been amazed by pretty much everything that my ears have been blessed with by Clutch. They're quite unique and original with talented musicians who are very talented in their lyrics. I'm going to suggest that you check out another band that reminded me of Clutch a few years back. They're an underground band from Ohio named Mississippi Bones. The first song I heard from them was "The Silverforked Tounge of Mr. Toad".

Clutch is great! Yeah like a lot of bands they can get political, unlike most they don't beat you to death with it. They understand it's about music AND message. Of course they dedicated Quick Death in Texas to ZZ Top. They do a great cover of CCR'S Fortunate Son. Great reaction!

They give the wink, too..."Please forgive me, Mr. Gibbons"

They are very tasteful anytime they touch on politics, and often they take a situation and explore how it would play out in the "world" of each of their albums. Many of their albums have a "world" they take place in like under the rule of Blast Tyrant... Mob Goes Wild describes the soldiers POV of being drafted and Worm Drink is about a deserter who's attitude is like, "fuck you, try and find me" (Name of the demon on the cover of the album).

Please forget the 'gearhead' thing. A Clutch is the total mumber of eggs a bird lays in one attempt. They have a song called, Basket of Eggs. I talked to Dan the Bassist at a show. Gearhead is something the fans started which is cool, but if you've been there from the beginning then ya know. Keep rockin the best band in the land

Clutch is clutch there is no other band that sounds like them. There a mix of old school DC hard core DC go go ( DC sound attack) blues and rock

If you'd like be blown away by a singer then you should checkout Close Your Eyes- Bitter Path The lead singer has some of the best screaming vocals in rock. He was able to smoothy transition from singing into full on screams so flawlessly that he instantly became many people's favorite screamer back in day. The band is not around anymore but they were so good. Link to their song Bitter Path by them, which is one of my favorites, but they have a lot of amazing songs. I hope you react to it! kzbin.info/www/bejne/pH63p2qpbcaJd7c
