Good stuff mate, I have heard of the musk rat but after googling the difference, apparently our water rats or 'Rakali' are like the Aussie otters. Way smaller though. However, I reckon they must be linked to the musk rat as you suggest.

I'm from the southeastern mountain s of Kentucky I've been watching stu for the past couple of days and before this I hadn't really ever seen any Australian hunters before that go out and hunt just like us I had always assumed that gun control laws would be to strict over there compared to the US I hope stu decides to come visit us for a hunting trip one day if he hasn't already I know after watching this I want to go boar hunting in the outback so bad I can't stand it the views out there are great and stu is a awsome shot

Hi Stu. I've recently purchased the same Thermal as you're using. Just a word of advice, it'd be worthwhile buying a suction mount to mount it to the roof....... and stream it to an Ipad or something similar which mounted internally to your windscreen. I've done this and it's been an absolute gamechanger and minimised my need for a spotlight.

Braver man than I Gunga Din, here they would take you out on that EBike, they don't run far before turning and attacking like in your videos but they are pressured more here. Got a dent in my Polaris Ranger from a pissed Pig, would not have cared but happened to be near the gas tank.

Yes our pigs very rarely charge, generally when they are cornered or wounded in the thick stuff.

Thanks mate, however, I am still working out the running shots with the thermal. I use a shooting stick with the thermal mainly for the video. However, once I shoot the first one I am finding it hard to shoot with the stick so I should drop the stick after my first shot to allow me to follow the running pigs naturally.

Yes I try and catch or pick up my brass but generally get around half which is good as it is a natural way of cycling my used brass so that they don't get over used, ha.

Do you find that .350 as much as a pig thumper as your old 30/06? More or less recoil?

The 30/06 hits way harder. Not a lot of recoil from both. I didn't know about the 350 cal until my local gunshop suggested I get one for night shooting with the thermal sa it is close in shooting.

@@HuntingwithStu the .350 L. has been touted as great pig round here in Texas. Most I’ve heard are used in heavy brush country. I’ve never shot one yet but I’m thinking it’s probably got some good recoil. But so does the /06. 👍👍

Hi mate, it hasn't got much recoil as it is a pistol size bullet shooting out of a rifle. I find 150grn projectiles better than the 180grn strangely enough to drop a pig faster.
