I think he just worded what he was trying to say poorly. I think he meant that people didn’t really outcast alcoholics as much or really identify them as easily in the early 2000s/ late 90s which is why the guys alcoholism flew under the radar.

I’m severely hypoglycemic (Paul Blart Disease) and yes sugar is necessary all complex and simple sugars are necessary just to different extents for different people Edit: it’s a crazy feeling of your body trying to communicate and beg you to find sugar it’s like primal when I wake up in 40s mg/dl I’m in like a caveman state but I know how to find my orange juice I’d say I have less inner monologue in those moments so just having any thought is difficult and I say caveman state cause I’m 280 lbs with 21% fat estimate so I’m a big guy with extremely low train of thought trying to get to my fridge before I collapse 😂😂😂😭 I know nobody asked but I think it’s funny to see so maybe funny to imagine
