The Coffee shown in this video is made by a company thats name is pronounced Roast-er-ree. As a funny story, when I first got this coffee I had to practice pronouncing the name for three days to get it right. When the day of filming came, I slipped back into my old southern self and pronounced it wrong even after three days practice!

Ha ha ha! Awwww! Don't worry about it. I am glad you loved the coffee! When I make a pot of it, I use four rounded scoops in my ten cup coffee pot and it is always very dark. I did notice, as you mentioned in the video, it looked pretty light in the video. Maybe just the difference between percolator and coffee maker I guess. MORE IMPORTANTLY, your little stuff like that (the Roasterie mistake) is what gives you and your videos more character and makes them even more fun! Basically, keep screwing up the small stuff because if you don't do it, someone else is bound to do it for you! HA HA HA HA! J/K but on a more serious note, we love the little screw ups like that, they're so funny! And that is 'part' of what makes you a "really big monkey" :) God bless! Glad you loved the 'Rotisserie' coffee, I just hope it didn't taste like chicken! :-)
@Reallybigmonkey17 жыл бұрын
Oh I loved it! I'll state it like my mentor did. A coffeemaker is more like a "dribbler" It dribbles the hot water through the coffee grounds one time. A percolator recirculates the water/brewed water through the grounds multiple times getting all it can out of the beans. So it usually doesnt take quite as much with a percolator as with a drip brew. Oh, if screw ups is what makes me big then Im on my way to being the biggest there is! LOL.

This is one of the most informative bushcrafters on KZbin! He also addresses concerns. I brought up a concern about cordage hanging around your neck and he addressed it very satisfactorily. He made people aware of the hazard and that's all I asked. It's like seatbelts in a car, you're aware of the situation, how you handle it is up to you. Dave, I was watching this with my wife and you began talking about this and I actually got excited! Lol, I told my wife "he's talking about me"! You just increased my respect for you as a "teacher" ten fold my friend. I never expected to hear anything more about that. I really enjoy your videos Chef Dave, great idea on the table grill and I could almost smell the coffee! Once again thank you for your videos-

Once again, Dave, you succeed in touching the heart and soul of life's great moments: a cookout on a hand-hewn log table with sausage, oatmeal, and gooooood coffee. The only things I would've added is a pat of butter, a dollop of jam, and a little evaporated milk to the oatmeal. It's what I survived on for breakfasts my entire childhood since my folks had to get up way before sunrise and head off to work leaving me to my own devices for breakfast. Many thanks, Brother.

That was a really great video. Loved watching it. The idea with the kitchen table and the grill in it, is pretty cool. Much more, than the one you made out of rope (my opinion). The sling bag is also a pretty useful invention. Especially with the ability to make a chair out of it. Nice. I think you can make such a bag also with these truck tarps (don't know the right name for it). They are heavy duty and nearly undestroyable. Have a nice day, David. Hey David!! Always nice to see you 😊 This was a fun one.. thanks for taking us along with you! I like your outdoor kitchen counter.. very practical! Trying to work on little bumpy round surfaces is a royal pain if you have to do for more than one meal or so for sure! Your friend has a great idea with that bag. Very cool! Looking forward to seeing what you have in store for us next time 😉 take care Hon!

Thanks Ruthie! Always great to hear from you and I'm glad you liked it. I hate outdoor tables with lots o round little sticks. Once I tried it this way, I never used the old way. Lots of weird stuff to come. Thanks for watching

I've been meaning to ask you Dave, how, why and what is the meaning with the name, "ReallyBigMonkey1" ? Or should I not ask being of the male species ? I wished Survival Lilly would of ask you this question !!!

if you watch his older videos he explains how back in the day, they had nicknames. His mentors "Flat Head Ed " and Big Nose Mac " gave it to him.

That's Funny, great comment, I've watched Her. Dave explained in a Vid a long time back that he took the handle from an off hand comment one of his mentors made when Dave used rope more efficiently to cross either an area of water or some type of crevasse. in any event he got across in no time and the way he climbed that rope brought the comment "He Climbs Rope like Really Big Monkey" Gota love it! He's featured in my Instagram Bio bigm9713

Hey There! I loved your height comfort level fire & counter space you built. Awesome!!! All you need is another bowl for the sink. Here I thought you were going to cook a big meal. You Chef you!!! lol I love the small back pack. Cute and it was awesome you found another use for it, using it as a chair too. How awesome is that you were sent gifts, and that you shared the goodies with us too. All the gifts were awesome!! Thanks for sharing, sharing is caring! Oh and thanks for the smiles and chuckles you always give me.

Stick breaks Dave "u see that one doesn't pass .. it broke." LOL. Ur Lil comedic statement are great.. this is what makes ur videos . Showing us the fun in the outdoors. U give us information n by throwing something in it to make us remember it . . This video is great. And because of u I know that ur using a parang style machete. The table/shelf is a great idea. One that could last u for a while. Something for ur camp or take it down n bundle it then reuse it another time. Ur always full of such good ideas. As I always say it's a great way to start my day.. I made my first double pouch set up for my esee 3 knife sheath. Came out great for hand sewing . Can't wait to get a machine to make bigger bags n stuff. Thank again for sharing ur knowledge with us. Hope U n Nick are well.

Lol, I try to joke when things go bad, gotta keep it upbeat and positive. Man if you modified that ESEE pouch by hand sewing you're gonna be jumping for joy when you get a sewing machine! Its speeds everything up and in the long run is easier. Take care and thanks for watching Marcus
