Crazy thing is you don’t necessarily need to be rich to live this life style. You quite literally need to just devote your life to live this way. Just like anyone with a hobby or a living. I know a few people from the California coast like this that are far from rich.

@@assassin7250 boats aren’t as expensive as you may think. Buying or renting. You might even be able to get lucky and find a free boat that’ll need refurbishing if you don’t mind projects. Middle class can easily afford a decent boat. Even more so if you have friends or family pitch in.

For that boat rich helps. But you can get a monohull sailboat for less than 20k depending on how old and the length you want. I’m thinking about retiring on a boat and been looking. Just float around the Bahamas living off the sea. Only pain in the ass part is running from the storms each year.

Very cool techniques in a challenging kitchen. boats that size are difficult to work in. Small prep space, cooking while under way, minimal equipment... I hope you two do more of this kinda thing. What a life!

Such a great lifestyle. Boat people are the friendliest people you will meet. My grandfather had a tri hull sailboat when I was a kid. Would go to Catalina a lot. You meet somebody on another boat and 10 min later you made plans to have dinner together. Wish people on land were the same as they are on water.

I've loved so many of your videos. This is one of the best. You showed the free diving to get the fish. Then prepared so many serving variations. Taught "how to make sushi". And lastly your final dish was a presentation masterpiece. I like this style of video from you, always a hit. The one in SoCal on the luxury yacht was good, but this one tops it. I do enjoy your simpler foraging catch/cook videos too. But again, this is an amazing one. Keep on sharing.

I think you found your best niche yet. Being the chef on a boat. You can travel around, learn new cuisine, new herbs, beach cooking, what you can eat...so much you can do. Have your own Catamaran and have celebrities on for a fun time with great food. Or you could just pop in to different boats, teach, learn, travel and be what you are.

Fun to see you in places I grew up fishing and spear fishing in. Should get you a Hawaiian sling for places like the Bahamas. Congrats on the hogs. A tip for the hogs is to tap your spear on the reef and the hogs will come in off the grass flats to investigate the sound. ✌️
