I mean, all due respect to the guy, he's still just a fishing boat, charter capt. It's not like he's on some giant tanker, crabber, or an actual LARGE vessel. Dude probably doesn't know what a fathom actually is and just remembers it as "kinda 10ft." Notice 9 or 10 fathoms was 90-100ft?

Anything out of the ocean that you can eat raw is super good, I did it to anchovy something people don't like but use as bait, and it was bomb taste like oyster but got a raw fish texture, the bone was so small you can chew it down, I love it after I explained it. But I would love to try fresh catch shrimp raw, too. I love sushime

Yuzu would've been good as a acid cook for the raw shrimp but I understand where you are and I'm assuming they probably taste like sweet shrimp raw; I just can't eat a whole donburi of it and I doubt most people can. I love this recipe because I wish more people would save the heads of shrimp and fry them this way en masse. The only time I get them is a side treat for sweet shrimp sashimi.

I shrimped all the time in the Bay Area we would crab and have shrimp pots sitting on top of the crab pots but since they change the rules in the last few years, I have not shrimped. You have to move the pots around to find them once you find them you can get yourself half a bucket in the day or Two soak. But you have to find them.
