Chef AJ, thank you so much for having Dr. Rimmerman as your guest. I have been waiting to hear about how to have the WFPB diet lifestyle work for me without attending Overeaters Anonymous. For decades I struggled in that fellowship, and like Dr. Rimmerman, I felt a disconnect. So, this is an answer to prayer for me. I have been trying to follow the WFPB diet for about 6 months now on and off, and I know it's what I need. I just need motivation now and then because I sometimes have trouble keeping strict, especially over the weekends. None of my family and friends are interested at this point. However, luckily my husband has been "game" for trying some of my recipes. I realize I have to do this for me, since I have been losing and gaining back the same 30 lbs for year. I also know I have to set aside a chunk of time to prepare my food so that it's there when I'm hungry!

I learned so much from Dr. Rimmerman! I suffer with GERD and weaned myself off the medication that I took daily. I still have bouts of symptoms and I take an antacid. I am going to change my eating plan and get rid of anything that gives me heartburn. She made the possibilities so visual! It is enough to get me to do further diet modifications to avoid any of the cancers she showed in her presentation. Thank you very much! You look so young and beautiful with the weight loss. It's very inspiring! Thank you Chef AJ for inviting her - it was great conversation. You let her speak so freely , without interruptions and good questions.

it's the fats from oil meats and fish! I don't have a gall bladder and very sensitive to fats oils from meats and fish! I do not have heartburn or bowel disorders anymore because I do not eat fat oils and meat and fish! Loosing the excess weight I have and doing so much better! I eat starches brown rice, rice pastas, potatoes, beans of all kinds, fresh vegetables and cooked vegetables and fresh fruits and oatmeal! I am not hungry! If I do get hungry I eat from these food groups! Thank you for this wonderful video Aj!

Oh my gosh, Dr. Rimmerman was an awesome guest. The PowerPoints were largely understandable by laypeople and her presentation so full of valuable information. Thank you Chef AJ for all you do. I learned how to water saute onions and that The whole food plant-based way eating was doable, from some of your earlier videos in your little kitchen where you made the most of the space.

If you haven’t been sick since 2015, you have the authority to ignore anyone regarding health or wellness who’s been sick in the last 8 years. I was last sick in October 2013. Anyone who’s not Chef AJ, Dr. Michael Greger or Dr. John McDougall and Crew gets ghosted by me if I detect they’ve been sick in the past decade. Big RESPECT, Maria 👊🏼

Dr Maria is one of your most balanced guest. I’m 65. I was osteoporonic. I took supplements including calcium , in 6 mth my bmd went back to osteopenic range. I still take them. Silica, k2, boron, calcium, magnesium, and others. My intention is to check again in 2023, then evaluate. I may not need those supplements as much or not at all.

Identifying is a big thing. I was a skinny kid, and I had no weight issues in high school... I really started gaining weight in my 30s. I am 58 and have been 50-70lbs overweight for 15+ years. I'm not a food addict, I just LOVE LOVE LOVE salt, sodium etc. I have already given up eggs and dairy...most meat. I don't particularly care for sweets....so I am finally ready to do this. I am so glad Doctor Rimmerman chose to share with us. THANK YOU! and thank you Chef AJ. It's nice to be spoken to as if I have a brain. LOVE the real explanation of precancerous situations. My family has the last one familial polyposis. Thousands by the time we're early 20s.

I especially enjoyed when you mentioned that it can be helpfull to begin with green vegetables and to do som easy walking after a meal, because it feels natural and make your energy fly - i have also tried to stop eating after 2 pm and it is indeed very effective but it is very inconvinient socially. Its much easier to snack on green vegetables and it feels great - and just makes you sti k out a little bit 😀💚💚💚

This is brilliant. Thank you, as always, Chef AJ. Thank you, Dr Rimmerman. Wonderful insights and explanations. So much of this resonates for me. (Greens and balsamic / veg for breakfast has made an immense difference.) After decades of food and my weight being this giant ugly ball of tension and resistance, I'm free, I'm free, I'm free. Grateful. Peace & Plants.

Question: is there a difference between food compulsion vs obsession? I’m extremely obsessive. I’ll routinely eat snack food as a meal, always late afternoon. I don’t so much feel compulsive. It’s just an obsession.

How do you measure insulin levels? Glucose is with the glucose monitor, right? I have one of those and mine has been running high 95-105 sometimes more. Insulin level is not a test that is ordered normally. The doctor hands are tied because of medicare. I hesitate to tell her her I am having some trouble because then it will be on my records I have diabetes. I want to correct myself with getting my eating in order. But numbers would help me. I have enjoyed your information. I wish your saw patients.

Reading into your comment here, I assume you're referencing the fact that neither of them eat nuts. But they seem to do this manly or only because of the added calories that would challenge their weight maintenance goals. Me on the other hand, I eat a few different kinds of nuts everyday without a problem. Probably around a cup in total, daily. Heck, I'd probably look anorexic if I didn't eat nuts.

The ‘red dot’ on the forehead, between the eyes (indicating the 6th chakra/energy center/pineal gland/“third eye”). Worn during spiritual practices, by some Hindus, traditionally by the married women and as decoration in South Asia.

The bindi question: I think you're being spammed. Or intimating wfpb is a cult. No rational reason we should have a question about a cultural jewelery when speaking nutrition.
