I lost the bread, I lost the weight. It took 36 years to sink in. Thanks Chef AJ. You pound it in with practicing the reverse and gaining back the 10 pounds. You improved my health and my mind. I will pray for you.

hey chef, & guests. i am one of thousands you've helped . I Started at 66, with low thyroid , low metabolism , & menopause , nearly home /bed bound ,suffering with many food/drink related illnesses . Thinking some were genetic ,til i changed to wfpb mostly sofas free. Anyway it took me 3y2m to lose my 100 lbs, after yo yo dieting 55 y from age 11-66. Been maintaining 3y9m now, between 139-149, am only 5'1", 239 lbs , bmi 44 , mens 3x shirt was too tight !1 anyway , finding you changed/saved my life. i am 72 & got off meds & reversed those food /drink related illnesses , i wasn't a pop drinker , but alcohol ,which i been sober 4-5 yrs. I quit smoking Nov 1982, but they were both easier than quitting sugars . I stupidly tried plant milk ice creams !! way harder to say no to. okay ,sorry so long .take care sweetie , thinking about you so/more often & 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

The learning described like that reminds me of me reading the Bible over and over. It’s like it is more familiar as I read it multiple times, it sinks in. 👍 Then it can become a habit much easier.

Once you start eating veggies for breakfast you crave them. I agree that prioritizing them first thing helps ensure getting enough in for the day.

Took me a year to lose 35 lbs. I was still working and did not exercise. Best thing I ever did. 70 in March. And unfortunately, I did lose muscle mass.

I recall watching Shaida making stuffed mushrooms in your old kitchen or at least think it was your kitchen before moving. Using nutritional yeast instead of cheese. Happy memory.

I guess we all have to find what fits. I tried eating low fat high carb diet for years. It just didn't work for me. I could not stick to it. Now, at the age of 70, I have lost 75 pounds in one year, eating fat. I love having good fats, mixed with mostly low carb vegetables and high protein items, I just didn't get hungry. It was easy to eat my last meal at 3 p.m. or so, have some carbs at bedtime (saltines I am sorry!). So now, at 5'1", I weigh 100 pounds. I gained about five pounds over Christmas, and it came off in a week. That is just my personal experience. This is not to say that losing weight is easy. It is not. People always want something to lose weight where they do not have to put in the effort or initial discomfort.

One way to get the protien and fats more accessible if your body needs it is with beans, nuts, seeds, avocado. Dr. Gregor doesn't recommend supplements except B12 unless your doctor tells you otherwise. But there are people who can do different foods, but many people cannot stay healthy with animal foods or oils. The high nutrition in the "nutritarian" style diets can be used by almost anyone.

How do we know when it is time to maintain? Will the body just stop losing? Do I just eat the same way, follow same program UWL?

How is an individual able to take this program if they will be gone on a vacation. Would I be able to begin the program after I return February 10th, or would I not be involved in the private forum. Your recommendations would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Paulette, the daily modules are pre-recorded and delivered 1 per day. The live Q&As will take place on Saturdays and will also be recorded. So all the components can be viewed later and you would have access to everything for at least 5 years. The forum is only available during the 30 days and is a great place to interact with other members and the coaches where we can share experiences and answer questions. It is basically a moderated message board that’s available during the program but not after. Many people repeatedly watch the modules and recorded lives after the program ends so that they can keep on track. Hope this helps.

What if you can’t afford all those vegetables? Where I live even frozen vegetables are quite expensive if you are trying to exist on minimal income, especially so since Covid doubled the price of food and so much else but income has scarcely changed.

I lost my weight with diet alone. I started exercising by riding my electric bike but that was mostly for my mental health. Chef AJ has said “You lose weight in the kitchen. You get fit in the gym.” I started exercising gently and am much more intentional with working out now. It was really hard to exercise at 260 pounds😢

Like Susanna, I lost weight with diet alone. My only exercise at the time was walking my dog…very slowly. We used to go for a sniff as that was about the pace. Exercise is wonderful but we say weight loss happens in the kitchen, not in the gym 😊 oops Susanna already said that!! Lol

I’m Good with most nuts … and dates even in the freezer , shelf but dried mango!!!!! I want all the time lol so taking it to a family gathering be gone mango haha❤
