In Hungary we slice the cuccumber, salt it. Let it push out the moisture and then squeeze the slices so even more water is pushed out. We put ground pepper on it, garlic and sourcream on it. We eat it as extra side dish.

I make the korean one very often, i use gochujang along with the rest of the ingredients 🤤 and the toasted sesame oil is definitely a gamechanger 🤤🤤🤤

Same, I'm Korean and I make it pretty much every other week and use it as banchan (sidedish). I prefer to prep the cucumbers before using them in the recipe. Remove the cucumber innards with a spoon and salt the cucumbers and drain the liquid. Both of these help with storage as it doesn't have as much liquid at the bottom.

Cucumbers, tomatoes, green peas, green or regular onions, dill, salt, ground black pepper - season with smetana. Wait 10-15 minutes for it to sit. Eat the whole salad and finish the sauce by dipping Borodinsky bread. Simply a favorite)

I've been making the 3rd one for a long time using Chef John's recipe, my wife and I love it a lot. I will try combining the oil and vinegar next time. I want to try the other 2 as well. Looks good and would be a nice change of pace.

I’m really used to the salad with mayo “real mayo” sugar apple cider vinegar dill weed with thinly sliced onions cukes sliced soaked in saltwater to keep crispy. Drain and mix ingredients to taste.

My late mother in law, made a cucumber dish, so simple but so good. Thin rounds of cucumber, thinly sliced white onion, mayo, vinegar and a pinch of sugar. Slice the cucumbers layer them into a bowl and put it in the fridge the water will leach out and pour out the water and then build it. I do not remember if there is any salt.

I used those and it tasted good also I added some lemon juice just bc I like the taste and put in A LOT OF CHILLI FLAKES if you want it actually spicy but that's personal preference you don't have to do these things
