Very nice! A hearty mix of rich flavors and textures. I love soup with stuff on top. A vegetarian take could be switching the bacon for roasted sweet potatoes or butternut squash. Saludos desde Montevideo, Uruguay.

Thank you ever so much for this soup recipe... with members of my family catching a cold I've been making soup... I even made one that I don't know if such a kind of soup even existed (potatoes, onions, 1 cup of rice, 1 cup of lentil, 1 cup of mung bean - of course the rice, lentil, and mung bean washed and soaked for a while) I sauteed and then seasoned stuff in a certain order and left to boil in chicken stock... I still look for more soup to make especially since we have picky eaters so I try to use the ingredients they like..... I don't why I waved bye to the pot at the same time as you did in the video 😂. Thank you again Chef!

The candied peels sound interesting, I wonder what they could be used to top. Ice cream maybe? I'd be interested in a video on them. This recipe looks great, though my first American instinct is to throw cheese on it somewhere lol probably some toasted cheesy bread instead

You can really use them for a topping for anything sweet or dehydrate them and use them for a crunchy texture.

My absolute favourite soup! Nice touch with the goodies on top but have to ask, did you make your own stock? It looked far to thick and yummy to be store bought. You see...keep the scraps for a stock. Delicious recipe Jack. X

One thing I like to do is caramelise a few onions then add with the leeks. Then for the topping sometime use cheese and crispy garlic bread croutons. Cheese and onion flavour potato and leek soup.

Friendly reminder to people who don't want to waste the apple: the core is not different or tainted from the rest. Just remove the seeds and the very top/bottom pieces (they can be prone to dirty bits) and the core is totally fine/edible.

Just Cooked today! Perfect! Great.great! No issues! I used coconut 🥥 milk. And added the extra coconut milk,…. And absolutely perfect 👍. So easy !…. I used basic bacon. And used a sweet apple. Really good instructions!… simple to follow and taste was amazing!. … plz try it.! It really does work! .🍲👍😊( I do use mixer as shown in video. ) try , nice easy quick to cook. There is NO possible way you could have removed all the dirt and sand from those whole leeks! They need to be soaked in water, probably a few times, AFTER you've chopped them to the desired cooking size!
