I love this recipe. I found thin sourdough bread, and rubbed it with garlic and butter. Cut out the rounds after toasting the bread and just followed Chefs recipe! Delicious!

chef, nice vijeo, thank you. beatiful presentation. just a thought...since you've got raw shallots mixed with the meat, how about fried shallots or fried scallions for the garnish. keep on truckin!

Mmm delicious. I haven't had a steak tartare in many years. This reminds me of the last time I had it in Slovenia. Is it okay to use pre-frozen beef? Or does it have to be fresh?. Also, what are the best types of meat to use besides filet mignon (subscribed by the way xx) also the seasoning, what exactly did you use for it? Thank you for this video!

Can you explain why the bread is on top? Seems that you would have to remove it before eating.

You can put the garnish on the top of the meat and eat bread on the side, this just looks more nice to me.

Does mixing a bunch of raw ingredients together then plating it up count as Cooking? Does that mean I cook a salad when I assemble it?

@@brianjohnston5827 When you cook them, put them inside cold water to cool them down fast, that will help for peeling. But in general, it is difficult even for chefs no worries.

There is a perfect Polish recipe for tartar. Don't mix anything, plate all the ingredients and let the consumer chose what he want's in. In the middle of the plate a patty of beef with a small dent for the yoke and all the other things around it. Also, no pickles, use the sauer cucumbers.

Oh dear. Michelin star, maybe, but what a phenomenal "failure" at tartare. Go visit Yugoslavia, bro, every non michelin star cook will trump yours by miles. Trust me. Honestly, the entir world has no idea how to make great tartar except Yugos. And no, I am not Croatian or Bosnian, but I gotta hand it to these guys, nothing comes close.
