@@Joey-kd8lj Well yeah, by itself it's just dark chocolate, but being that they called it caviar it's wildly pretentious. There are few things that, by themselves sans marketing BS, are actually pretentious.
@SaltExarch
@SaltExarch 5 ай бұрын
@@Joey-kd8lj I still think it's pretentious because not only are they trying to market it as "caviar" when they made no effort to make it anything close to that, but they're also trying to sell all the "health benefits" for a chocolate that ultimately wasn't very nice. So they're intentionally trying to hit all the "premium" marketing bull when it's really just mediocre chocolate ball candy in a fancy tin, which is HELLA pretentious.

@@brigidfarley6347 that part. LOL. agreed. + As if tons of places haven't shut down, or that it wouldn't be unsafe for them to traipse all over town hunting for the most specific things. Not to mention, that would be highly inaccessible for other would-be buyers, whereas a well known super high end brand/shop that has ever-changing stock and is WELL known for their crazy prices and high end ingredients, is mUCH more accessible, *and* theyre not insulting local handcrafted shop owners, who are intentionally creating higher quality/priced niche items. So, all of those things... plus, as they have been BIG supporters of small shops and niche high quality items PLENTY in the past -- I don't think they want to kick anyone with a small business down (who are likely struggling hard right now, if not already closed) during these times and this economy. They've had no problem finding silly frivolous things before, AND being honest about them -- but OP and other presumptive commenters -- lets try to think critically about the situation we're ALL in, and the character of the guys at Sorted, and the confines theyre under too, before we make unkind sweeping assumptions. Personally, I'm delighted to see what fortnum and masons has, as it took me FOREVER to browse even a small section of the shop when I was there, and it felt like the Harry Potter friggin candy shop, which is delightful, so I really enjoy seeing what wacky things they have. Also...... if Sorted ARE making a buck off F&M -- right fucking on, guys??? Thats a HUGE longstanding well established well respected brand and a big deal, and uhh... this IS their job, guys.... It's perfectly fine if they have to make money during a pandemic ? LOL like..... come on...

Lakrids by Bülow is really good, and worth the price as a treat every now and then. The salty caramel one is a favourite here in our home. Also had their raspberry one, and that is really nice, with a nice sourness from the raspberry powder on the outside.

She brought a chocolate orange from home. I had one slice. It was really good. If I saw it again I would buy one.

Oh my god, when I saw the box of Bülow licorice! If you hadn't liked them or would've found them pretentious I don't know what I would've done. I had an advent calendar by Bülow and it was amazing, and it came with two of those big boxes of licorice of which the other one was the Salt & Caramel one. I tasted a couple of pieces and ended up snacking the whole box away in a couple of weeks, then replacing it so my hubby wouldn't find out and ended up snacking that one up too. I was supposed to serve these at Christmas but, well, now I didn't. So. Worth. It. The best salted caramel treats I've ever had!

The Lakrids (liquerice) Balls are insanely popular in Denmark. Mostly given as gifts since they are pricey. Some companies also make them chili and salmiac in the liquerice which is my favorites.
