I completely agree with Nick that the midfield is the major problem. Caicedo and Fernandez doesn’t work as Caicedo is often left on his own with far too much to do. If they don’t solve this we will remain very inconsistent and easy to beat.

I 'm not ready to give up on Maresca yet. However, he has got to change his tactics. We will now be playing teams for the second time in the PL and they know how to play against us. We need to be able to score that second goal. I would like to see more of Guiu.

Maresca needs to learn how to use 16 players, rather than 11 in a game. Change tactics, freshen up etc etc. that's his learning curve. His first 11 selection and tactics are good. But premier league has no dearth of tactically strong managers who learn on the go and counter it in 45 minutes

Imagine spending over 1 billion pounds on players and we still need to spend at least another 250 million pounds..thats embarrassing..if we don't get ucl..the directors need sacking..its their manager and they recruited the players..
