embie Yes because metal is all that we should listen to right? Because branching out to other genres is bad. I listen to indie, hardcore, punk, metal, hip hop, experimental, progressive, and the list goes on. You like the CG album, that's bad enough. No one listens to music anymore they just follow the hype. There are like 3 good songs on the new album out of 15 tracks. It's filler-ridden and while the most technical musically it's not very coherent and structured. It's nice to see that JR has some chops but his songwriting capabilities haven't improved much since his solos at random and doesn't really build up to it or transition.

Evan Marshall Yeah, being as brutal as possible is great and all when your seventeen years old, but eventually a band has to grow up. Eventually, you have to start actually writing songs. Listen to the musicianship in this. It's really good. And yeah, they've lost some of their edge, but they're still pretty heavy. And the beauty of it is that their old songs will always be there if that's what you like best.
