These videos were the best drifting tutorial since drift bible. Lots of little things that pros and advanced drifters keep on their secret own knowledge. Can not wait for next summer to go test these on track. Thanks for making this series.

This series is great. I've never "officially" gotten a car sideways with the intention of drifting, per se, but I've slid a car a couple of times and it's fun. While I'm not a drifter, mostly due to not having enough money for a second car with which to learn the craft, these videos are a perfect example of how you don't need a crazy car to be able to do it and have fun. I'm inspired to find a cast off car like your 323i and have some low-dollar fun with it. I'll certainly be referring to these videos if I'm ever fortunate enough to buy a car for sliding. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us!

Just finished watching the series, awesome! I like that you even cover seating position and where your eyes are during drift. things the drift bible and stuff don't cover. Question: for long sweeping turns where are you looking primarily? Even in just normal every day driving when on big circle on-ramps. there isn't an apex so I find myself looking down to the inside line and then up to the end of the turn periodically. should i just keep looking to the end? feels weird because im almost looking out through the B pillar...
@chelseadenofa8 жыл бұрын
I look where the inside tire is pointed at.

Wait, so what does handbrake extensions do? I watch the whole video, I guess he means pulling the e brake and rev the engine to get another transition going
@Krakatov8 жыл бұрын
He extends the drift by e-braking and clutch dropping. If he didnt do that he would have run out of speed and gone off the track.
@victorgarcia73128 жыл бұрын
I have an e46, I noticed that when I was using the ebrake I could link the track but I stopped using it since it started to get sloppy and didn't grab at all. Did you do anything to it besides the extension on the handle?

for drifting should i have good sticky tires on my fronts in a rwd car?
@chelseadenofa8 жыл бұрын
You don't want to have a tire that's A LOT stickier than the rears. You want just a decent front tire that has good handling characteristics. If you run too grippy of a front tire, your steering input will effect the cars ability to naturally drift through the turns. Think of the front end as more of a rudder. The less you can do with the steering and front end the better
@xXTanman19Xx8 жыл бұрын
