I saw Chely live long before she had any radio success. Saw her in concert at a county fair here in Nebraska and got to sing a little with her live as an audience member! I will never forgot it. I thought man, why are the clueless radio programmers sleeping on this gal? I remember when "Single White Female" finally started getting some airplay and I asked one of the local music directors why it took so long for one of her songs to finally get some serious spins? She was one of my favorites along with Lari White and Kelly Willis. Two more incredible talents who never got the credit or recognition they justly deserved. Country Radio made very little sense to me.

OK. This song is just straight-up hot; one can't be anything but hot when writing or singing a song like this. And make no mistake...that chorus ALONE, with her twangy, bitter voice cascading over that melody, just gives me chills. Amazing song, and a good one if you're looking for a fight.
